This was so fun to just rain down tons of missiles. Amazing work.
Very nice project! It's pretty satisfying to plan and fire the attack. Perhaps it would be nice to have some kind or visual and/or audio feedback when a sequence input is wrong and the player has to start over.
Keep up the great work!
Really great start! Mainly wish there were more content, but it's already satisfying to build up a huge salvo and let it all go at once. Of course reminds me of Helldivers a bit, but the artstyle and gameplay both remind me a bit of several fun Flash games if you're looking for additional ideas and inspirations ("Warfare 1917", "Warfare 1944", and especially "1066" with its combat inputs)
I second the more content, but could be a great start to a really cool game. Love the helldivers type call in :D
I like the concept, I wish it had more content, like win or lose conditions (maybe they are there i just didn't know, and some other mechanics like upgrades, ammo etc. But still good job!
Awesome job! Feels great when the bullets land and all the sounds are well done!
Very satisfying when a large volley hits spot on! :) You might try adding a scoring mechanism or some other win/lose condition.
I appreciated typing in the firing solutions!
Very very cool concept. As an experienced helldiver I was calling down volley after volley with no hesitation. But yeah as others said, polish felt great, would love to see a full-fledged version of something like this.
Thanks for playing! Out of curiosity, what kinds of things would you like to see if I were to make a full-fledged version?
I think it'd be cool to keep the power up type system, but maybe have a few different options for moves, and need to execute different moves for different enemy types. Also take the map and make it overhead? to track out more enemies? I really love this concept though.
It did feel weird to 'load' like that but actually is quite fun, maybe paring the keystrokes with the music would be fun (I'm a composer, sorry ;) )
I thought of the same idea! Making it a rhythm game would definitely be fun. Thanks for playing!
Cool game! It didn't quite feel chaotic to me, but I loved the idea. It's like Dance Dance Revolution, but instead of dancing, you're readying bombs. Very good
Thank you! I wish it had ended up a bit more chaotic. It started out with inspiration from level someone made for little big planet where bombs fall and you try to dodge them while platforming, but gradually got away from that as I realized it was actually quite difficult to do that in a way that is actually fun to play.
Very satisfying mechanic once you line up the shots. Choice of sound effects really help make it feel impactful. I really like the code entering mechanic, I got into quite a flow with entering codes and firing in quick succession. Well done!
Thank you for playing! I really spent a lot of time polishing the impacts to try and get them to feel really satisfying (probably to the detriment of...well...gameplay) but I'm glad that the impacts felt...impactful!
Lot of little elements that were nicely polished, cool little animations and effects all around. There's some good fun in this mechanic! Took two rounds to realize what the timer was for- wish it also indicated the full time until the shots landed, currently there's a brief pause at zero while the missiles come down.
Thank you for playing! I'm glad you enjoyed the details. I do wish I'd had time to fix the timers because that definitely makes it harder to aim.
Neat concept. Its like dance dance revolution but more like dance dance demolition :D After missing the first 2 tanks i managed to get the timing down and managed to take out a few.
Well done.
I have to say - I definitely stole that bit of it (well...I was inspired by) helldivers. Thank you for playing!
