I loved trying to save my dog here, but is it possible to actually save the dog. I tried a few times, but always died in the end. Also, I'm not sure what the icons in the corner do. I clicked on them, but nothing happened. If you get a chance, add a tutorial to this game - it would help us get more out of it. I hope you continue to work on it. Well done.
I'd agree with some of the other comments here that a little could go a long way for this one! Even if you don't have time to put a tutorial in the game itself, some notes in the description of "this is what to expect and how to play" can really go a long way. I really like your game, it also just takes a bit to figure out what's going on and how to play.
That would have been a great idea. I actually thought that my given explanations were enough. Talking about being stuck in my own head.
Thanks for playing. Cheers mate
decently fun game to play. not for sure the point of the dog other than to say you put an animal in your game. the was no narrative that i came across in the five mins of play. couldn't find instructions on how to play therefore i couldn't figure out what the symbols on the bottom screen was for...maybe a bit of a story to explain why stars are chasing after me and the ghost dog. honestly thought that maybe the dog would heal me if stand next it but it didnt
The story is told in phases. When first entering the Factory World you will be told a bit of it. Did you reach the other world? You had to collect a few of the crystals the stars dropped.
An interesting game for sure! Highlight was blasting stars with my ghost doggo while techno blared in the background!
I didn't fully understand how to play, but the inclusion of a manual was a creative and fun addition! I feel like I would understand the building mechanics a lot better if I had more time to experiment with them.
thanks for your feedback. I did not really adjust the time at all. I maybe should have thought of something different to limit the time in the Factory World. Maybe a amount of resources produced…
I tried but I had no idea what's going on. Definitely needs some kind of tutorial.
I fully agree with you. Thanks for playing notheless
Of course! I love these types of games but you need to ease the player into it.
I was a little overwhelmed to begin with, but once I got the hang of things better I started to really enjoy this one. The art style was really cute, and having my poor ghost pooch follow me around was enough to show me the narrative. The game over screen in particular was very well done, epic effect. Good job (:
I remember this game from the first round, and I thought I got the hang of it then, but this time around I feel very lost even after reading everything and trying a lot of different things. I reloaded it a few times, but I was not making any progress. Might come back after I'm done playing and rating the rest. Good work, there's a lot in here, might just need some better tutorials and building descriptions.
I also feel like the game took a step backwards. I removed some of the tutorial because I thought it was clear. Emphases on thought ^^.
i will try to learn from this. Thanks for playing
I'll be honest, I don't think I'm the intended audience for this game. I can't understand what's going on, even after reading the pdf. I think a more hands on tutorial is needed for this game. As it is, I'm going to try to rate fairly, but I honestly can't tell what the game is about.
I really appreciate your honesty. This just shows me that I need to change the way I build tutorials. And that I need to lay more emphasis on someone else playing it before the end of any jam.
Cheers mate.
I can see where you were going with this.
Unfortunately I can't shoot anymore after entering the arena for the second time, is this a bug?
If you press the number buttons like 1. You toggle the use of a fighting resource in the wave mode.

This is marked by the resource becoming red in the bar.
Here for example I toggled the use of the bullet.
