This is due to floating point inaccuracies. There is no plan to fix this currently

It also works if you go far enough out in any direction

I am not really sure why, but no matter what I do, if I am on Crazygames or the official website or the downloaded version(what I play now), my leaderboards just look like this


It says: Error: Failed to load leaderboard. I have good internet so im not sure whats wrong and its really sad not being able to see other peoples times

No. The leaderboard works now and i can view other peoples records as well

I LOVE this game. The only thing for me right now is that there is no controller support which is kind of a bummer because controller just feels better IMO.

Edit: I get that it is difficult because of the replay system, but I feel like for now you could just try making it digital inputs instead of analog. So even if you tilt the stick a little bit it goes all the way to the side. You could also do it so depending on how far you tilt it it does it multiple times. So if you hold it a little bit it will press the stick periodically based on how far it's pushed. Sorry if that's confusing lol

The community seemed to be mostly against controller support in the past, since people worry it will give players using controllers an unfair advantage.

It might be possible to have separate leaderboards for keyboard/controller, but it'll be quite easy to cheat and submit a controller run to the keyboard leaderboard.

Wouldn't it just be a different play style, like in Trackmania people use keyboard/controler/joystick/steering wheel and they are all on the same leaderboards right?

Maybe! I'm not sure that there would actually be a huge advantage to using a controller.

But I feel like this is difficult to test without adding it to the game, at which point removing it would be difficult.

I think the only advantage would be more precision but it would be much harder to master.

I think adding an option to start from anywhere would be better, but I haven't decided on exactly how I want to do this yet

Wouldnt it be possible to make it into a setting:
-Realistic Light
-Classic Light
and the mapper just has to say that for better experience to turn realistic light on

Idk if this would fuck with the browser compatability but it would be pretty sick if there was a more realistic light system 
like when u do a tunnel the inside would be darker
would really help making RPG maps

Another idea:

A freecam  in editor so you can look up  under blocks you already placed :)

For me, Shift + Right click lets you adjust the camera angle, if you zoom in with the scroll wheel you can then move around slow enough to make modifications, it's not quite the same as free look due to height.

I would simply ADORE new engine sounds

Supercharged V8's and twin turbo V10 with HUGE wastegate blowoff when you lift the throttle would be ideal :)

Do you know of any public domain sound effects for this?

Finding good sound effects which are loopable usually takes a long time

the version of this for mac keeps saying that it cant verify and wants to move the game to trash can you guys pelase fix this

To run the app you need to go to Apple >  system settings > Privacy & Security, scroll down and you can view and verify apps that have tried to run from non verified apple developers.

This would require an expensive license from Apple, so it's not really solvable for now.

There are ways to get around this though

Could you add a green Block? Like the black red blue and gray ones. it would be really helpful with scenery and maps look good.

There will be a proper terrain editing system at some point!

But there will also be a lot more colors for the blocks next update

A feature that wouldn't be too hard to add could be a signal that indicate the splits in the run. So it says how much faster you are in each checkpoint. So u can see haw far the ghost is behind. Like Trackmania. Also a feature where you can watch multiple Ghosts simultaneously so u can comprise different runs.

Split times are coming next update! Multiple ghosts might come then too but it hasn't been decided yet

Very nice game but it would even be better if you add a feature where you can respawn on a checkpoint. Would make longer maps way more fun. Also you could make them even harder cause the people don't have to restart the whole track.

Cool Feature would be to add a different car. It could just be a skin but what also would be funny is a car that has different features. Like there is a checkpoint where you automatically switch to the car and now you are faster but you have less grip ore sth like that.

Hey Kodub, with the replays I was wondering if there was a way to watch more than one person at a time so you can see and compare other peoples lines to yours. Tell me if it already exists but if there isn't then do you think it is possible?

A few handy things would be a zeroeth order checkpoint that needs to be crossed but in no particular order, and if crossed checkpoints changed color, dulled, or otherwise displaying that they've been crossed.

Unordered checkpoints aren't planned for now.

Changing the checkpoint color after passing it sounds like a good idea though!

Also good idea to show witch checkpoint is next so u know where to go

I've seen on previous posts that you don't want to make your game a track mania copy, but I think potentially adding difference between surfaces could add a lot more to the game. For example, the dirt could slide more. Also the addition of slanted curve pieces, like a 45 degree bank would be nice. I hope you still plan on updating the game.

Different surfaces aren't planned since the physics wouldn't really work well.

Banked track pieces will most likely come next update!

I have no plans to stop working on this game as long as it remains popular and people keep playing it.

There could be a way to make teams or Clubs. In those Clubs you share the Code and people can join. 
Like this there could be a tab at every track where you can see the times of other people in the club. So u can race against friends without having to make own maps. There also could be a limit to how many people can join (10 or sth like that). Also could there be a feature where everybody in the club can select 5 (just an example number) maps and now they will be displayed under the standard tracks. Now there is for every member a track which fits there skill.

Im trying to import my profile from one device to another but I keep getting the message that it failed to download the user profile from the sever. Any ideas why that might be happening and what i could do to troubleshoot?

It's not possible to import your profile if the leaderboard server is down.

It's also not possible to import profiles from illegal versions of the game since those versions can't upload the profile to the server

Your car can keep grip on the track, even when sideways... You could possibly patch it out and make it work for only a specific range of blocks as a feature though

The track below demonstrates this with the different blocks in the game

I also can't view leaderboards for some reason or import my profile; for the leaderboard, it says Error: Failed to load leaderboard and for the profile it says Failed to download user profile from the server

I have the same problem, Leaderboards are down at the moment of typing atleast

I've noticed the leaderboard issue specifically on sites like pizza edition. It hasn't been a problem for me though on the official site or app.

Hi Kodub! I currently am hosting polytrack Jacky and I have a script to grab the leaderboards for 10 maps using the web requests. Am I allowed to do this, and if I am, what is the limit on how often I can do it?

This shouldn't be a problem as long as you don't do multiple requests per minute.

Also depends on if this is something running continually or just every once in a while

Planning on doing it ~ once per hour so it should be fine 

At the moment, if you go into spectator mode when racing and look around, it seems to glitch and bug out... I'm not too sure if it's just my computer, although it didn't used to happen before...

When exiting tracks it should go to the page with all the tracks, same with exiting from track pages with the list of times. Also, a quick play button would be nice.

Editor copy paste. Like using a special block to mark 3 corners of a cube and press copy and then paste as one big block somewhere on the map. It would be REALLY helpful when building big containers but only having to build one side before copy paste. Also it would be much easier building like lakes or oceans when you need to switch the rotation all the time.

The physics simulation runs of of memory and then stops working.

This will be fixed in the next update!

I’m really confused. I’m tryna make a PF map, and this thing only works with a checkpoint. Look at this track, only press forwards. Then, go into editor and change the straight block marked by the arrow to a checkpoint and go again. Could someone explain? Checkpoints take up some memory, and having loads of them can make maps unplayable. maybe the checkpoint just adds another thing the game needs to process, and it changes slightly? i have no idea.

yea, I tried to play a map that had over 900 checkpoints and the start was like playing in slo motion. But I’m still confused because a single checkpoint isn’t much. Maybe it has something to do with the noise of going through a checkpoint  and how that might take effort from the game instead of no noise. I’m also puzzled.

I don’t know how hard this would be but I have  couple ideas. First of all some kind of slanted or banked turn so you don’t have to brake as much at high speeds. Another thing could be ice so you have less grip and some cool combinations. Edit: I just thought of merging blocks so you aren’t limited as much to placing blocks. For example you could have a shorter section of ramp or something like that. Double edit: You could add different staring points so that it isn’t limited. BUG: sometimes when you back up and hold right or left into a track wall, you just become completely immobile and can’t do anything even though all wheels are touching the ground. It is kind of frustrating because my friend made a track and the first part was tedious and hard, but then I did it and got stuck close to the end :(. Is there anything to do about that? Also, on my Chromebook I can’t use the leaderboard for some reason but my sister who got the excact same Chromebook at the same time can.

About getting stuck, it's possible to get the back part of the car stuck on the guardrails which raises the back wheels from the ground slightly. I think this is what you're describing. Notice that the car only has back wheel drive!

About the leaderboard, do you play the game here on itch.io? Do you get a determinism error when you start the game? In that case you could try switching to another web browser.

The camturn from forwards to backwards is kinda long so my idea is to make it a bit faster.

All of today and part of yesterday the CrazyGames version won't fully load and instead has me 'play offline' which still posts to the leaderboard but doesn't save any progress to the in game saves or profile.

It works fine on Itch.io and if I'm not logged in at crazygames but when logged in (both safari and chrome) it gives this error. When playing in this 'offline' mode it still access the leaderboard but won't save and will fail to import valid tracks. I'm currently using Itch.io and all the tracks that the 'offline mode' said were invalid are also fine.

Nope just Polytrack, and It seems to be a safari specific issue, both saves and ads are working again when using chrome. With firefox throwing determination checks, chrome is crazygames last hope!

In 0.5.0 you'll be able to rotate parts in all directions, but no 45 degree rotations.

For 45 degree rotations I think it's better if I create specific track parts for those.
Diagonal distances are longer so the parts wouldn't connect otherwise!

Bug: In the beta and the new version (5.0), anytime I try to steer / accelerate or brake nothing happens. Regardless of using a keyboard or tapping the screen. Both worked fine with the old version. I can navigate the beta / 5.0 menus with both keyboard (esc) and by clicking on them, just can’t accelerate, brake, or steer. Probably something obvious that I am doing wrong, but I thought it was worth a mention.

In the beta you could swipe out and all your stuff would still save. But now on the regular polytrack it wipes everything why is there a difference

the new download version is pretty laggy. Idk if it's my computer that's bad, but I played the web version (couldn't import my account). Also, light hearted suggestion to make it so that you can toggle the checkpoint respawn.

for the lag, yeah as the game gets bigger, it gets laggier, but optimisations are coming soon i think. for the toggle checkpoint respawn, just press the other keybind. Default: r = checkpoint respawn, t = full respawn. If youre used to pressing r, just switch your keybinds.

It might be that your downloaded version uses software rendering for some reason

i get like 60 fps on crazy games but 1-10 fps on the downloaded version

Could there be a way to make something like the colour picker in the car customisation for blocks in the editor? Also, could you make something like a sliding bar when you click on the angle tab (on the bottom left in the editor) for different track piece angles (as there is only one semi-angled block and it can be annoying to have to work around it)

It would break all popular maps that aren't using the basic surface. This would also make every official track bad, and be a hell to code. However it would be great, its not very realistic for the current state of the game.

Maybe make checkpoint order optional, or remove checkpoint order completely, and just make them a requirement to finish regardless of what order they are collected in. This would make finding the optimal route for a map interesting along with finding the lines.

The only problem with that would be that you wouldn't be able to make multilap tracks anymore... Unless changes are made so that the finish block can allow for multiple laps..

Kodub could add a multilap block or 2 different types of checkpoints, but it wouldn't fit in the game nicely. Though ring checkpoints would be nice.

Make your place on a leadorboard on a map visible without having to select that map. Your time on a map is visible from the menu, but imo place on leaderboard would be more useful

In the editor, when placing blocks by holding down the mouse, then using Z or C to move up or down, when there is a lag spike, it leaves gaps in walls and things when building...

The game just doesnt have enough processing power and framerate to place every block. the only way of combatting this is to imagine the pillar like a line, and if the user is pressing a key for x time, it fills between the two ends, kind of like an auto filler.

Multiplayer is a big step, because you need to connect two or more devices from 2 different places together. Theres no way of doing it easily. Clubs and chat will come sooner than multiplayer servers.

Collisions feel kinda bugged for me. Mostly the track edges can fling the car all over the place which is confusing. Also you can phase into the scenery mountains if you go fast enough. (I play this game too much)

This seems like a crazy suggestion. But anyway, what if there was a single block eraser? like how eraser deletes the entire piece, a single block eraser erases a section of the block. Even if this works only with the full 4x4 blocks, that would be cool. As well as this, why does the FPS display cover up the bottom checkpoint meter? Also, small check, is the top lifted part of the car a cockpit, or an extra air intake?

The FPS display is mostly for debugging and will always cover up something somewhere.

There probably won't be an iPhone app for a while since Apple has pretty strict requirements for the App Store, also they don't allow cross compiling. I'm working on an Android app though.

Kodub, can you maybe add that not everything in the editor is 90 degrees, but also 45 for example. So you can make more different tracks

Also the track parts wouldn't connect if they were rotated 45 degrees so I think it'd be better to make specific 45 degree versions of selected parts

idk if this is supposed to happen, but when I am drifting while turning and then fall of an edge it makes my car turn the opposite direction

that has been in the game for a long time and at this point its a feature. release your turn input before a jump or dropdown to snap into a noslide or drift cancel, or use it to your advantage

Rim Bounce. The wheel doesn't actually contact with the ground, the rims does.

The pause menu is TOO EMPTY. You should def. add something bruh (also put pause menu in mobile with fps toggle, cockpit cam, spectate or exit button lol)

Race against shadows of my other profiles would be very neat

you can, you just have to find them on the leaderboard and select them then click watch. as long as you have ghost care activated you should be able to race them.

I've been enjoying playing some of the community campaigns that are shared in the forums here, like the weekly shorts, but it's left my import page a bit of a mess haha. It would be really nice if I could move tracks into folders or something

Whenever you are flipped upside-down while traveling upward in midair, vertical deceleration is slowed. Being at any sort of angle while midair can cause minor movement toward wherever the bottom of the vehicle is facing (depending on the context it may or may not be noticeable). However, there are multiple ways that it could be implemented into tracks, and it is a very minor affect. So, If it were kept rather than being fixed, there would be no difference with quality of gameplay, and track-makers could be more creative.

One other possible option would be to fix it but have a track piece that can enable it (with a more increased effect) and a track piece that can disable it, which would be a pretty unique feature in my opinion.

I 100% agree. if u added like special skins and you could buy them with in game currency that would be super cool. also u could actually make some decent money from it if u had to pay for a different type of currency for limited edition skins. i would certainly buy things for irl money.

I agree with adding some form of currency, unless you need to pay for it. It would be easier (and more effective) to have ads to pay for server costs or to gain revenue. If microtransactions are added, five-year-olds will be reaching for their parents' credit cards. Also, it would be difficult to implement microtransactions due to how profiles work, and people would be really upset if they lost their account after having done a microtransaction.

An in-game currency is something I want to do relatively soon! It would be used for buying skins and customization options for the car.

There is no in-game purchases planned with real money for now. I agree ads are better due to the target audience of the game being quite young.

I think it would be cool if there was an overall leaderboard for community and official tracks.

Suggestion: you can also see how far ahead or behind you are to your pb (or a chosen run) if you have ghost car off.

So, I've tried the game (PolyTrack) for an hour or so, and I really enjoy it. Unfortunately, since I only have low-end mobile device, I have several issues that doesn't even make me to enter the game, I assume it is lack of incompatibility of older devices. Even though I can access it through other stronger devices which I don't have (such as PC or higher spec phones), I just found it kind of unfortunate, or at least it's for me.

Perhaps would you consider to make the game more accessible to older/weaker devices in the future update? If so, that would be much appreciated.

I know this issue is more like my own issues, then again, I have no idea which other people who struck on the same issue like I have. Again, my main suggestion is making the game gets more accessible for older/weaker devices, but whether it's granted or not, I respect your decision.

There will be some big optimizations in 0.6.0 which should make the game run better on slower devices!

Add the ability to add text as a object in the editor, also a copy and paste feature would also be cool or just a blueprint so you can use it for different levels without having to remake it.

Just wanted to say that this is a great game that you've created. Runs so smoothly, all in a browser too!

My suggestion is to calculate a global rank for every profile. I feel like if you logged in to the game and the first thing you see is your global rank and your percentile(global rank/total ranks * 100), it would be really cool. Seeing your global rank improve every time you get a new PR would definetly increase motivation. It's like the leaderboards that you show for each track, except that this leaderboard would be for ALL tracks. You could separate this leaderboard into Official Tracks and Community Tracks too. I think the global rank itself could be calculated by getting the average of all your ranks on every track, or something similar.

A global leaderboard for the combined time of all official tracks will definitely come at some point, probably during the next few major updates. It will put a bit more pressure on the servers having to retrieve the time for all tracks, but I think it should be doable

I'd like if besides seeing your ranking as a percentage of the number of players, you also see your rank as a percentage of the fastest time; e.g, where you're just a few milliseconds away from the best time, and a hundred thousand others are too, you'd still see that you got really close.

Also-- When picking orientation in the Editor, I sometimes have to click over and over to get the right one. little floating 3d copies of the part in relation to the camera or something, instead of x-y-z axes, would save a lot of time :D

(surely someone already tell but...)  A FRIEND PAGE PLSSSSS AAAAAA. 

A wey to safe some users (like fellas, random person, or similar), to get they ghost more easily. Now i am with a friend playing in the same acc to fight each other, but with a wey to safe this user, will make so much easy get to they ghost, and figth tehm jeje. If you go to "profile" and click on the account you want to save you'll see a button that's called "export". If you click on that button you will get a message that says: "dont share this code with anyone". You gotta click on "confirm". Then you'll get a code. Just copy the code and place it in a document or write it down. 

If you accidently removed the account you can go to "profile" again and click on "import". Just put your code there and you'll get your account + all your worldrecords back.

Yeah I Know! ^^ i use this to play with a friend in the samd acc (i have my main acc), i do this to fight each other, otherwise it will be so hard to find each other on the learderboard 😔🥲, for that i suggest to add a friend page / favorite page where you can save users, and they records of the learderboard. Maybe also some form of custom leaderboards so you could create a leaderboard for your school for example

I feel that, if possible, the import codes, especially for big maps, should be compacted somehow. The code to my city map is too long and I just wish it was smaller. 


Also I think that there should be props, such as stands, street cars and trucks that could add obstacle, lap counters and etc.

After the first turn there is an unexpected drop which causes you to restart the first attempt of playing the game.

The part just after (before the second checkpoint) flows well

After that, the 180 turn causes you to loose a lot of speed

The the next 90 degree turn is hard to get perfect and you end up loosing even more speed

Then the last part looks really bad

Add motion blur. I want to feel that speedy formula race car.

I think it would be nice if you were able to select everything in the editor and shift it up/down/left/right so that people don't need to delete the entire section just so they can fix one small part.

Copy-pasting is definitely something that is coming at some point!

I've noticed a few notable issues 😅:

1. Also the turning ( using on-screen controls ) doesn't work half the time, specifically with the left button ( or right if controls are flipped ). It seems to have this "cooldown" before I can press it again.

2. On PC, there seems to be some random but somewhat short lag spikes ( although particles still animate in-place ), atleast I noticed that when updating from 0.4.x to what I believe is currently 0.5.x

3. The game for some reason crashes—showing an error message upon completing any level, seemingly when offline :/ , Atleast on mobile.

4. I've seen this pointed out already however the game does seem to have some notorious performance issues in large maps ( especially the community ones ) so it'd be nice if it were further optimized.

2. This happens when the game is CPU limited. In this case lowering the graphics will not help and there isn't really much that can be done.

3. Is this in the Android app? I think it's the same issue as mentioned below

4. The next major update will contain some pretty big CPU performance optimizations, but this won't help in cases when you are GPU limited. I think large tracks might be more GPU limited so it might be harder to optimize.

I'm aiming to release the next major update sometime around March next year

I recently tried to get a track, but it wasn't able to import because it's from v4 of the game. I'd like a track code converter or so to enable people to play literally every track made before a month or two ago. All of those tracks are now unplayable for anyone who never had them. :(


Although if someone does have an old track, they gould get the code for it via that button and post it to recover it :/

No, all tracks from older versions are compatible so this should already work.

seems to be correct. It's the first code from here, and I think I tried some other one before.

fails on the original sludge works from the very beginning, too. :/ at least on Firefox. (Although I don't think that should have any effect)

Actually, even new codes don't work if they're too large, although I can reload and overwrite large tracks. Perhaps my cache is full :/

There is limited storage space in browsers, so most likely you're out of space!

Try removing some tracks and see if that helps

There are no analog controls in the game currently, but this should be possible after controller support is added!

hey so on polytrack 0.51 it is almost unplayable on m1 mac or any mac in genral the only way i can play it in school is to download it to mac and when i do that is becomes increadably laggy and will just stutter so bad ive messed with the settings all i can next im going to try to downlaod older versions to see if any of those work back before it was blocked it ran great in my web browser but not it bacicaly wont run at all i love this game and love to compeat with my friends in it i just wish there was some way to fix this

Do I understand correctly that it used to run fine in the browser, but now that you're using the downloaded version it runs badly?

Maybe the downloaded version is using software rendering in that case?

this is a big bug I’ve come across:

When in the track editor, sometimes it freezes and a copy thingy pops up in the top left corner of my screen

It looks like the webview on your phone is very old!

See if you can update your webview somehow. It may also help with problems in other apps too!
