(Your game begins at 19:38)

Well now - this is actually really interesting. I especially lik how th e Main Menu is actually a part of th room where the game starts. That was rather clever. And the "Otherworld vision" definitely allowd for a couple of spooky sights.

I will say a few things though - much as all th spooky writing is effective, it is a LITTLE overdone. THere are places where it sems to be absolutely everywhere to a point where it kind of loses its punch. I get that it is likly supposed to imply that a LOT of things went wrong in there, but still. Less is more sometimes.

And, well... I know you want to tease more coming, but frankly, the ending to this demo is a hundred times more comical than it is in any way foreboding. I couldn't help but laugh.

Don't take those two gripes the wrong way however - I did really like what I saw so far here, and would definitely love to see where the concept can go. I am full of questions and interest.

Thanks for playing it, and thanks for the feedback :)

It's the 3rd game I play.

I liked the idea of the power to see into the Otherworld but what I found really annoying is the passcode part because I just couldn't find/figure out what it could be. I tried following the hints but no dice.

(+1)

Thanks for playing! Sorry you got stuck at the puzzle. I figured the "happy birthday to me" on the wall beneath the keypad combined with the glowing red bed with a date would be enough, but I should have set aside some time for playtesting with a test audience. Most people try 1974 as the code, despite that not being a birth date, rather a birth year. I considered adding a special text then hinting at 1974 being almost right but that she should look for the day and month, but ended up not doing it. I'll try to have some more in-world hints for my next puzzle!

My favorite part of the game is its main mechanic. This short project is a great example of what could be done if turned into a fully realized game. 👍🏻

Thanks for playing it, and thanks for the feedback!

(+1)

This looks so good! I would absolutely love it if this was turned into a full game! So much potential!

Thanks for believing in it! 💀💀

(+2)

Markiplier played this today and holy hell its so good! If you wanna set up a kickstarter or patreon or something please link it to meeee cause this is an awesome prototype! Best of luck to ya :)

I appreciate the support! 👻

(+1)

I as well would be interested in seeing this become an actual game, if a kick starter were started i would pitch in!

(+1)

Love the atmosphere!

(+2)

Dang it, I meant to post this yesterday!

All I can say is that I want to see this turn into a full game. You clearly know how to make a visual impact, and I think you could do something great with the concept.
(+1)

It was a joy to watch the video, I appreciate the kind words! I might have to expand on the game if people keep digging the concept! 👻

I skimmed through the video, I appreciate the feedback! I agree with it, the mechanic could have been used in more ways. I did run out of time towards the end, which I sadly think shows. I hope to do it more justice at some point 👻

(+1)

Pretty fun! Can't wait for more!

Glad you found it spooky! 💀

(+1)

Second game I played

(+1)

NICEEE I WANT MORE!

I might have to make more then 👻

(+1)

I really loved the mechanic of switching between worlds! Creepy atmosphere throughout, and a very interesting back story! Here's my playthrough:

I hope to be able to play more with the mechanic one day. Thanks for playing! 😁

(+1)

Please please please make this into a full game!! This is a great starting point and I would love to see this expanded

I'm glad you enjoyed it! 🤩

Tried this yesterday and it was quite unpleasant... Well done :D
Loved the setting and the feel of the game - the way the shadows move (very un-natural) confused me at first but it really does add a lot to the games charm and style.. It's pretty unsettling <.<

(+1)

Thanks for playing it! Yes, the flashlight caused some strange shadows, I was never quite able to fix it. 🤠

(+1)

Very strange shadows, but once I had some time to think about it I actually thought it was pretty cool - adds feelings of super natural stuff. If you keep working on it, consider keeping the shadows moving the same way but slight less dark maybe? :D

Good job with everything!

feel free to watch my 3 horror games in 1 video including this game

Thanks for playing! 👻

(+1)(-1)

I really enjoyed this one, as I was playing I thought this was a demo, but it works as a short game too.  I would love to see this style and these mechanics brought into a larger scale game though.  Really fun, great job, this is the first game in the video

Eyy, thanks for playing the game!

(+1)

well it was OK great back story and great game play but it was to short

(+1)(-1)

got a little too creepy for me but mostly confusing at the end but still a cool game :)

I'm glad you enjoyed the prototype!

(+1)

Had so much fun with this game, PLEASE MAKE A SEQUEL!

The game did a nice job building an atmosphere but didn't deliver. It also mentioned a consequence for using your otherworld vision, but it didn't present itself to me. The background noises helped build the game world and the room where you have to type in the code was awesome, when you switched visions and saw everything and it was like WHAT THE FUCK! That was cool. But half the game is grabbing a flashlight, then a key, typing in a code. Then the other half is find three generator parts (Like we have seen an absurd amount of times) and then you get into an elevator and it's over. I noticed the play button did say 'prototype' so maybe the creator is planning on finishing the game and if he does, I will be interested. Also big fan of your channel (I totally found this by coincidence.)

(+1)

Yeah, I agree. The elevator part isn't that inspired, it was something I did quickly to wrap up the game so I could focus on other assignments. It'd be nice to get to flesh out the experience more... 💀

aye I got a reply from a famous guy

Spoopy! 👻👻

(+1)

well... I think It can be a very good horror game, I love the atmosphere of the game, and the gameplay is very intresting, you can switch between  2 world, it's an idea you can growth with effiency

I'm glad you think the premise has promise!

(+1)

Played this as the 2nd of a 3 random horror games video, and I loved the mechanic and how creepy it turned out to be. The openness of the story and possibility of a threat left me wanting more to it.

Thanks for playing, I hope to bring more spoops in the future! 💀

(+1)

absolutely loved it,

would love to see more..

incredible job

(+1)

Thanks! Sorry about no jumping, hehe 💀

this game is fantastic. There is only one think i miss ,its the option menu for grafics

There is no in-game option for graphics, you have to do it from the launcher application 😊

(+1)

Super fun! It has alot of potential and I'm intrigued to find out more about the lore! ;)

(+1)

Glad you had fun 👻

(+1)

definitely a good game, you can see by the photos lol.

(+1)

Love the concept behind this game. I wish we had a little more to play but being a class project I totally get it. I really think you have a good idea here and I hope you plan on working on it more, instead of letting it gather more dust ;)

Your game is the 2nd game in the video starting at 7:14!

👻 Thanks for the kind words!

(+1)

Thanks for the cool game!

(+1)

Loved the feel of the game! Great concept, I like the idea of switching "vision" to see more things, cant wait for the release

(+1)

I'm glad you think the concept has promise! 👻

(+1)

This is fun! I hope you will make the part 2 of the game!

Glad you had fun! 👻

(+1)

...... spooks.

👻👻👻

(+1)(-1)

Not bad for a prototype. I thoroughly enjoyed this game and I look forward to the full release. I played the demo on my channel, and would be happy to do it again upon full release.

Thanks for playing! I initially had no plans to expand on it, but since it's gotten such a warm reception, I might have to :)

(+1)

I can’t believe you had this just collecting dust since 2018. It’s a fresh experience and I love it!

(+1)(-1)

I wanted to play more.  I think 4 more puzzles would have left me satisfied haha

Thanks for checking it out! I hope to be able to expand on it one day :)

(+1)

Played your game in a video, I really loved this concept and can see so much potential for it which I talk about in the video. Hope you enjoy

Yours was the first game I played

You had some great ideas for the game! I'll keep them in mind!

(+1)(-1)

Some good ideas but obviously as a prototype it was a little limited.

(1 edit)

Thanks for checking it out, I hope to be able to expand on the ideas!
