Nice job, I really enjoyed how the character was moved by the mouse, it was clean movement! Yah, not really much else to say, it was really well made and nice job!
Thank you! I struggled for a bit with the movement so it means a lot!
pretty fun
Thanks for playing!
The graphics and animation is so good. Overall it was a fun game :)
Thank you!
I feel it would be better if it was more rewarding and fast paced.. Loads of potential to be a fun casual game!
Thank you! I'd like to add a few more things to the loop. Maybe add another area after the current win screen
Pretty fun game, could see myself lose the sense of time playing this. You could port this on mobile
Thanks! I don't think the port would require a lot of work. The mouse clicks can already be triggered with touch. Though I don't know about the RMB, maybe I'd need a double tap for that one
Good game! I like how you can play it with only the mouse and it also has nice music. I like the animations on the player too but I'm not sure how it fits with the theme.
Nice job though! (:
Thank you for playing! I think it's got the theme in little things. It's not that noticeable at a glance, but the loop of the game is: spawn, go around, kill, and die. It's a bit endless, though to escape the loop you need to die, more permanently.
well done
Thanks
Nice one there, i like it
Thank you!
i like the idea of trying to make the most with one simple mechanic!
Thanks! I'm glad you liked it
I like the simple mechanics of the game. It could've done well with some variations in sound effects, gets a bit repetitive after some time. Overall a good effort! Wins full marks on simplicity
Thank you for the feedback. It's definitely one of the last things I added so it's a bit lacking.
Interesting and Confusing game. I kept waiting for the ground crumbles to open up and they never did. also you can cheese the enemies from behind the wall if your in a pinch, still dunno what the sp+ actually does, thought it was speed increase, but I never noticed any. but still enjoyed trying to figure out "how to win" lol. After about 10 rounds I found the "right" hole.
Thanks! I struggled a bit to find a good timing for the cracks to spread. Glad you could play!
haaaa, I read the comments and I feel like I've missed everything. ;-; Can you explain the game, I'm sorry. I just wandered around and randomly found a pit and it was the end.
It's a bit directionless. I think discovering stuff is the main goal. But falling into the hole is an end goal. You lucked out and had one appear near you
Great game! Very cool artstyle and music! Great job!
Thank you! Means a lot
I played for a good 10 minutes, but couldn't find how it matches to the theme of "failure is progress", did I miss something?
The music was quite good, controls a bit tacky, and the player feedback wasn't the best when attacking. But on the other end I quite enjoyed the simple visuals and being able to move around anywhere. keep it up :)
Well, it has some elements at odds with normal game design. You win by falling into the void, though it's more about surviving long enough for the floor to crack.
Thanks for the comment
Love it
Love yours too
Nice game, loved the idea of figuring stuff out. The video you posted was very helpful.
One critique is I wish the enemies didn't build up so much health, but other than that, nice game!
Glad you liked it! The enemies have roughly half your health, so the more you die it's harder but you gain health as well. I should put a cap on that maybe.
I like how you slowly figure out more and more about the game with each try until you finally find the end. Solid game :)
Thank you for the kind words
Loved how you utilized this jam's theme so well and in a more unique way than I have seen thus far. Really gripping game loop too! :)
Thanks! I liked yours as well. The 60-second timer was a nice touch
