Beat the whole thing, very cool! Kept me hooked for a good while :) it's super polished and pretty

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing! Glad you liked it :)

Submitted(+1)

Loks very interesting but the game wouldnt start on my PC :(

Developer(+1)

Did you tried the windowsMixed reality download or other one? Which VR headset you have?

Submitted

Valve Index. Tried both versions.

Developer(+1)

Ok. I'm gonna take a look in the next couple of days and let you know. I don't have a Valve Index to test it, but I'll generate a new version and upload here.

Super nice, played the whole game and feels really good. A bit random some times, but it adds more to the fun! With a bigger map and more precise targetting UI it would improve the game flow, sometimes I used the last card I draw instead of keeping it in the hand.

Overall super addictive game and really makes you think as despotic god. Good job to all the team :)

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing and feedback! The off-hand as storage indeed needs some improvement. using the last card was a common issue many players faced. We'll rework the whole ui, and then spend some time on the hand storage + the size of the board. Besides that, I'm glad you liked the concepts of the game and that we could transmit the vibe we wanted

I love thoses tabletop game concept in VR, and this one is well made!

The complexity of the puzzle aspect unveil little by little and works wonder.

I had some troubles reading the texts and had to put them extremely close to my eyes and wait a bit.

Some button to speed up thoses dumb human would also be helpful.

Nice jam!

Tested occulus rift and 1060 3g

Developer

Thanks for playing and feedback. Really glad you liked the concept. The whole UI will receive a rework, that will for include the cards, they are indeed a bit hard to read. We though about a card to speed up humans, as this could be beneficial (when running from aliens) or maleficent (when make you run faster into fire or any other threat). But a button, might also be a nice approach.

The idea is really good, and the VFX on card and board are really good too. The only thing is if the board could be a little bit bigger could be more visible to game.

Submitted(+1)

Great game, I could have played it for hours! My only suggestion is to make the game board a little bigger, but otherwise this game was really impressive for just over a week.

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing and feedback. We did some tests with the board bigger and idk, felt a little bit off. Maybe we need to spend more time on that later.

This is amazing!  I am a huge fan of card games In Real Life and in video games, and this is a very fun VR card game.

Super fun. Extremely satisfying to figure out how to get 1 human to survive! Table top in VR is great.

Cant seem to get the game to launch in steamvr...

Developer

Hey friend! I've just uploaded a new version (Cards_of_Destiny_v1_windowsMixedReality) with OpenVR, it might work now. Please, let me know :)

Really cool game ! Love the ambiance and the cool mechanism where you need to precisely save / kill humans

Developer

Thanks for playing and feedback. And also for hosting this amazing event ;)

Excellent game and also you should consider creating a full version of the game with a menu, a lot of levels and all of that cool stuff. Good job!

This game is easily among my favourites in the jam, very cool, unique concept with amazing use of theme. I genuinely really enjoyed using the cards to hammer down aliens and sometimes humans aha. The only real issues I had with the game is the balance of cards(being a card game this is extreamly hard to to and to be fair in 9 days this is very good) and storing the cards in my off hand didn't feel intuitive and I lost so many cards to the floor, I'd suggest maybe when the cards hit the floor have it teleport into the players off hand that would be perfect. But other than that this is a really amazing experience with a lot of potential to grow.

Developer

thanks for playing and feedback. The idea of teleporting cards to off-hand when they hit the floor is definitely something we'll implement. At least in the first moment. After playing a bunch of times, I think the whole off-hand as storage might need a few improvements. Regarding the balance, we want to make some tests letting the player kinda building their deck, or at least changing some cards. But maybe this will add even more complexity to the balance

Solid game! I really liked the concept, and the art style was gorgeous (both the table and the room). A few things I would tweak: some of the text was a bit small/hard to read, and I was struggling with hitting things with the hammer (maybe I was swinging too slow?). One other idea is maybe a play/pause button to make it more puzzle-esque, as it was a bit of a chaotic rush (but that is probably also just bc I like puzzle games where I can calculate what I should do over fast paced games). Overall though, great game and fantastic work!

Developer

Thanks for playing and feedback. We are thinking on rebuilding the whole UI, that will include cards text. The idea of pausing the game is cool, definitely something we can implement in some specific stages to bring a different element to the gameplay. About the hammer, we believe there's a collision bug, but we are trying to investigate. Maybe the fact that everything is so small... not sure

Would love to try it! Can you include support for OpenXR/Windows Mixed Reality/HP G2?

Developer

The framework we used is OpenXR friendly. Did you tried and got an error?

Submitted

No error, but it does not detect my headset, simply loads in flat screen mode

Developer

Hm, seems like I have to download a plugin to make the asset compatible. I'm gonna take a look later this week and let you know when is available.

Developer

Hey, I've just uploaded a new version with the package. If you have time, give it a try and let me know if it works. Thanks (Cards_of_Destiny_v1_windowsMixedReality)

Smooth animations! Just sometimes I use a card accidentally when i want to put it in my slot.

Developer

Yeah, happened to us during tests as well. We have plans to fix/improve, just couldn't make in time for the jam. Regardless, thanks for playing and for the feedback

Submitted(+1)

The concept of the game is great, it took me a while to finally beat the game since I kept mistakably activating some cards in my hand (or resetting the level when I was about to finish it), but that is my fault alone haha. There was an animation bug here and there with the humans running in place when they were dead, but aside from that, the game was really fun!

Developer

Thanks! Both points are super valid (resetting levels and activating cards when trying to store them). During our tests we felt the same, just hadn't enough time to fix/improve. Regarding the animations is indeed a bug, we are looking into it :)

Submitted(+1)

Loved the models and aesthetics, especially the tiny human models and animations. I didn't realize you could grab new cards while playing so discovering that really made things more fun.

Submitted(+1)

Absolutely adored this, would love to see more levels added and the game fleshed ouit more in the future. Had a lotta fun and finding out the lamp is movable was the icing on the cake. Really really great stuff, amazing work!
