This was awesome!!! Such a cool idea and so tied to the theme! Love it! Awesome art and music and everything!

I like the grab-once idea!

The game looks really great and has a nice introduction.

However I could not complete a single puzzle. The weights wouldnt stay in position and the piano was closed and I did not find a way to open it. Also you could run through every wall and would fall halfway through the floor or straight down.

Love the atmosphere and mechanics for an escape room but I could not really play it :(

Developer(+1)

Sorry to hear about that! Yeah, the physics can be a bit finnicky, that is something I would like to fix in the future to make it more stable for all headsets.

Nice environment! I had some framerate issues on quest 2 and the scale was going a bit crazy - will try on pcvr later to get the better experience!

Punching a clock to "break time" and restart a level is such a cool mechanic, by the way!!! love that idea

Really nice atmosphere! I especially liked the piano with single use keys and the breakable clock 🕰

I couldn't complete the weights puzzle. The weights were flying away and since they are one-time use, it is not easy to retry. I would suggest to add some snap zones to make placing weights easier.

I used Quest 2 to play it and the fps was low. Unfortunately I don't have access to my PC today :(
I will try to run it on PC VR next week 🙌

Thanks for checking out our game! Yeah the overall physics of the scale is something I would definitely like to improve, as everyone I have seen play the game has sent the weights flying all over multiple times

I loved the atmosphere and visuals of the game. But for whatever reason when I try going up stairs after playing the piano I just sink into the floor and can't get back up. I reset it the game to no avail, but I still greatly appreciate the ideas the game was going for.

Developer(+2)

Ahh man that sucks! we've recreated the problem and it seems like we were missing a collider on the sides of the stairs and unfortunately the player can go through there somehow, Thank you for bringing it to our attention!

Developer(+2)

The game has 2 endings. It seems like you chose the bad one xD Cause of lack of time we didn't have opportunity to fix stairs. It's good that not much people fell off cause I fell of twice while testing the level.

Really liked how this games tells you how to interact with its mechanics. Resetting the scene or physics based puzzles are super well implemented. Vibes from the Myst/Riven games, kudos to the team! Short and great experience!

Submitted(+1)

Love the concept of this, and the way you reset the level is so satisfying! I too tried on Quest and found much better performance on the PC, but props for building to both. Nice job

The concept og the game and the use of the theme are really good! The only problem is that doesn't run very well on Oculus Quest 1, but at least i could enjoy the game a bit! Overall, nice Work!

Like other said, super cool reset "button"! I need some hints, I got all the notes in first level but can't open the piano? I'm guessing the scale might be a possible solution? But everytime I put more that 2 objects the scale starts twitching around. Maybe it's a red herring?

Also super cool gold shader! Unique and interesting!!

Developer(+1)

Thanks for checking out our game! Yeah, the scale puzzle unlocks the piano puzzle, my tip to make the physics behave a bit better is to drop the weights above the scale hitbox (the hitbox is fairly generous), that way it doesn't launch up into the air after you let go. I hope that helps and I'm glad you enjoyed it!

Very atmospheric project! Good job!

Clock like in a Stranger Things))

Very well put together 'escape room' experience. Enjoyed it thoroughly! I did glitch out the piano as you can hit the keys while the cover is still on, but thankfully your reset system is checkpoint based so no harm done!

Yeah, I made the mistake of loading this up on my Quest instead of PCVR. The fps was quiet low, but not a huge problem for me personally. Just the thing that stood out the most. Maybe some light flickering on walls and hands getting slightly stuck on the environment, is what I noticed, but that’s just nitpicking for jam.

Everything else was just nice. Loved going through the environment and figuring out what to do.

The graphics looks amazing, the sound plus the clock shatter effect is really cool!

The black tutorial environment feels pretty special and new!
One thing that I didn't like was that the weight blocks' physics are a bit slippery and I couldn't get them all on the weight. Also I accidentally dropped one of the hints and it became pretty difficult for me to view it as the clock didn't reset it for some reason.
But overall, this is one the most polished game here! It's insane how much you did in such a short time frame

Wow Thank You! Your words truly brought a smile to my face, i really really appreciate the feedback :)

Mixed feelings. The "midas touch" is mindblowing. Such a cool way to show the main mechanic. The puzzles seem to be intricated. The main problem, (as you may know) was the fps ( on Quest 2). I really hope you can fixed that because it was a truly fun and enjoyable experience. Congrats!

The game looks and great, and the mechanics are super fun (especially punching the grandfather clock to reset!) The main issue I had was the low framerate on the Quest 2, as it was very laggy, averaging around 20-30fps. I also had some trouble with the grandfather clock not resetting the level fully. Besides that, I really enjoyed the game and I could tell a ton of work went into it.

Developer(+1)

Thanks for checking it out! Yeah, the Grandfather Clock only resets the objects that are specifically for the current puzzle you are on, not the entire room. We struggled with trying to fix the low frame rates on the Quest, and ultimately couldn't, but it's much smoother on PCVR. Thanks for the feedback!

Submitted(+1)

I had a few control hiccups while trying to solve the first puzzle, but aside from that, I had fun! Having Midas touch added a nice little twist to puzzles and I found myself resetting a lot because I let go of an object too early.

On a side note, there seem to be some collision issues as I was able to walk straight through the wall on the left side of the piano. Also, sometimes when I tried to put the papers on the floor, the paper would clip into my hand and get stuck to my hand. Aside from those small bugs, great game!

Developer (2 edits)

Yeah, we decided to not use a VR framework (Autohand, etc) and instead make our own physics hands from scratch, so that's why they can be a bit buggy xD. Thanks for checking out our game!

The "midas touch" is amazing and how it was used as an element of the puzzle and gameplay, superb!
