This is a fun little game. I like the concept of your life being tied to the music. The difficulty seems good, not too punishing but not a walk in the park either.

Some other people have mentioned it but the dash being Space messed with me several times through my playthrough. That's my only real issue with the game.

I can absolutely see this being expanded into a full game! Awesome job!

Cool game, I really like the graphics and audio especially, but I do have some complaints.

1) Space being dash and W being jump is weird. I feel like having space as jump and left shift as dash is much more common.

2) I didn't really get the crossing paths part of it, did I miss something?

3) It felt like it was missing something. The mechanics were really basic, aside from the timer feature (which was really cool btw). Just your standard movement jump and dash, with the obstacles being the bottom of the map, sawblades, and some crumbling platforms. I feel like the game really could've used a unique mechanic or obstacle to really spice things up.

Over though, it was a fun game. I really liked the idea of the song timer, and the art and graphics are really impressive. I thought you got it all from an asset store originally; I had to check the game page to figure out it was all you, so nice work on that.

1) yes i do understand that mistake, i will change that pretty much as soon as i can

2) i will be completely honest, i fully forgot to add the jam's theme in to the game

3) although some other mechanic could be good, i feel it's better not to throw in a lot of different mechanics not to overcomplicate things.

thank you very much for both your compliments and critisisms

Yeah no problem it's what I'm here for! Thanks for playing my game as well.

Very fun little precision platformer. Couple issues: Lack of controller support, precision stuff like this works better on controller, Sometimes was hard to tell background from foreground, easily fixable by just darkening the BG a bit to create some contrast and lastly, although the song timer is a fun mechanic, sometimes the obstacles would require you to wait, which it can lead to a non "player mistake" cause of death. Overall, for a jam, it is a enjoyable game. Good job!

thank you very much for your feedback, i will try to fix up these problems after the jam ended although im not sure about controller support since im not very experienced with it myself

great game with pretty difficult levels. i liked the gimmick of connecting your death with a timer, but i feel like certain levels should've had longer timers than other because some of the level design makes it necessary to wait for an opening to get through, which the timer doesn't really allow for some of the time, fun game, nonetheless.

That's some tight feeling controls. I liked it!
I also like how the timer goes transparent when the player is behind it.
There were a couple of times when I thought I could land on boxes but they were just background decorations and some background pillars looked like impassable walls to me.
Still a good game though!

The best character controller, but I don't know why you didn't choose the classic space for jumping, shift for dashing. Also, boxes and backgrounds are sometimes distracting. But anyway, game and sound  are amazing!

honestly space for jump and shift for dash would've been better, i just didn't think of that somehow

Very fun game. Feels nice! I also just have a suggestion to change the movement controls. Maybe a generic WASD, shift dash, or space jump. Other than that very solid game.

Developer(+1)

yes i'll probably do exactly that after the jam

Great job! Loved the little particle affect you including for the death. My only criticism is I kept trying to jump with space bar, so the controls through me off a bit. Also, really liked the option to choose any level from the start
