when it comes to the camera, instead of just snapping it to the target's x and y position, it would lerp to the targets position, causing it just lag behind just a bit briefly.

i didnt really follow any tutorals on platforming since in my previous project i was making a top down platformer which has similar logic to the 3d platformer

when it comes platforming such as detecting when you land on a floor, i tracked the player's z position, and the elevation value of the floor the player is touching and once the player reaches the floor, they are grounded again.

again, im not the best at explaining this stuff out. but the logic i used for this is similar to what's seen in this video here:

once im done with the next portion of the game, i'll think about taking the time to explain how i make a 3d platformer but it wouldnt be anytime soon

u

hi, not sure what the problem is with the platform here. can you not go under it or something?

Hi, I don't really have plans on making a tutorial about how to make what I've made in 3d mostly because I myself barely understand how I got the things I was working on to work.
But i do have some tutorials from other developers to help you out.
for things like the 3d terrain and camera i followed this tutorial here:
From 2D to 2.5D: GameMaker Studio 2 TUTORIAL (Using 3D Camera) | Easy Parallax

and for stuff like making the characters appear in  a 3d space, I've used this tutorial here:
Billboarding Shaders - 3D Games in GameMaker

if anything  i would reccomend DragoniteSpam's entire channel, since he knows a lot about making 3d games in gamemaker:
DragoniteSpam - YouTube

Hopefully this is enough to get you started. if you have any other questions or things you're confused about. I'd be happy to try and help down the line

hi, i'll be working on optimizing the game to work better on all computers.sorry about that. thanks for telling me about that item glitch, i knew i forgot one more fix

Im glad you liked it! I did the art myself

thank you : ). I'll be working on it again once this week ends and I get enough feedback. I'm glad you liked i

yeah I’ve seen that a lot of people are having issues with that one checkpoint. It’ll be fixed asap

I’m using gamemaker studio 2

thanks for the kind compliments! I never read cucumber quest before, I think i might check it out when i have the chance

Thank you!  : )

Thanks for bringing that to my attention! Thanks for all your feedback as well. I’ll start tweaking the game crashing stuff right away

This was a really neat game. at first I was bit disappointed at the lack of music. but then I  saw that careful listening was essential to avoiding the foxes. every time I started to hear piano keys, I got nervous. also that ending was brutal! I laughed so hard when I saw my army grow and take out the foxes. This was a great experience

Wave 22?! thats the furthest anybody has gotten so far! thank you so much for playing and im glad you enjoyed it

not really. thats the first time ive ever heard about this problem the only thing that would stop you is if you have no heals and not being to drop a heal near a wall. ill look into this after the jam

yeah i saw that a  lot of people had problems with the mouse controls. so thats been my main priority to fix. also when it comes to potions, they are dropped from enemies and using a potion uses up one. i feel like a tutorial wouldve made things clearer

this is a solid entry in the jam I cant wait to see how this game can be expanded! if i could give any feedback its that sometimes an enemy will spawn right on top of me and i just take damage, and indicator showing where they will show up would be nice

i love the art in this game a lot and the music was top notch too. you both did a great job with this entry

theres a lot of levels to play. could use some sound effects and some level design is cheap especially with the yellow door other than that. its a good game

Everything about this game was a new experience for me. I never ever in my life thought I would play a claymation style game set in a haunted theater ran by a vampire dinosaur while running away from bees. while the gameplay itself is simple, I enjoyed myself way more than I thought I would

I loved the art and the sound. I feel like the game could've had different minigames behind different doors, but i realize that would be a lot to add in  a one-week period. it was an overall amazing entry

Nice game. maybe in a post jam version you could make it so that i could take away points from one stat so that I can use it on another

nice take on the fnaf formula. however for some reason the cameras dont work for me. and i feel like having to switch from keyboard controls to mouse controls just to look made this game a lot more difficult.

i feel like adding the controls wouldve made this game a lot easier to navigate through. otherwise i see the potential behind this game

This a Nice game. I liked playing a game of spot the difference. the art was amazing along with the music. my only complaint is that the game is way too short. I would love to see what this game could be expanded into given a little bit more time

not really sure how this fits into the theme and i didnt understand why my own bullets were hurting me until it was too late

yeah a lot of people dont like the mouse control movement and for a good reason.  its the first time ive ever made a mouse controlled game and I aim to improve it after the jam

it looks nice. but i wish there was something indicating how many keys i needed to find and what I needed to do

that first level was rage inducing! its a good game nonetheless. bit of sound would have been nice

Its a nice little game. i played a few rounds just to get my score a little big higher. but thats all there is too it.

this is a nice game that you made. the music and overall tone made me more nervous that I actually should've been.

This is an AMAZING little game that was created. it was fun for me to slowly find out hat exactly had happened (screw ash). and these conversations seem like two people actually talking in a chat room. this is a great game, and you should be proud of what you created.

This game is crossy road. Nice reminds me of Newgrounds from my past

this game is very broken. i spawned into the game with three different versions of me and i couldnt move. other than that it has a little bit of something for everyone

nice gimmick, lots of fun,.Very thought provoking

this was a really nice game, my overall problem was one that someone commented already, which was the fact that at one point i would continuously slide to the left even after death which lead to the game crashing

great game with pretty difficult levels. i liked the gimmick of connecting your death with a timer, but i feel like certain levels should've had longer timers than other because some of the level design makes it necessary to wait for an opening to get through, which the timer doesn't really allow for some of the time, fun game, nonetheless.

great game, i the simplistic controls made this a good game to get into. in one of the levels though, my checkpoint disappeared and i spawned in the void with no way to progress, i feel like a redo level button wouldve been nice for situations like that

great game, my game lagged after level though but that didnt get in the way of my experience

great game. this seems like the start to something bigger. i feel like a way to get more time wpuld make the game more enjoyable
