Very good little game. The art is absolutely fantastic, the music is pretty good, the level is great, and the overall implantation is spot on. If you want to you can also take a look at the game that I put in and give it your own review!

Happy to pop your game on my list to play through this weekend.

Thanks for playing, and for the kind words. I’m only an artist by hobby, programmer by trade, so it’s nice to see people like the artwork for my jam games, I try to focus on pushing myself in art on jams just to make a nice change from the day job :D

Amazing game, the game I most had time playing on this jam, Didn't see any glitch and everything was perfect, love all the animations/sprites you made for this game, also really cute ghost, even tho the coins you collected are useless, I will disconsider it since the game is amazing.

Yeah the pickups not being more of a core part of the game is probably my biggest regret. My ultimate goal would be to have them used instead of the machines as a sort of currency/fuel that you use to enter into the ghost form. But I didn’t pay it enough attention early on and was not confident in implementing in time once I had realized what I wanted from them.

Thanks for the feedback, and I’m glad you had fun playing the game.

Great game! 2 nitpicks tho.. 1. Ian introduction to double jumping via sign would have been helpful and 2. the text sometimes is a bit blurry but yeah those are really minor things... Great job!

Developer(+1)

Yeah I’ve noticed in hindsight that I never actually introduce double jumping, I think I just got too used to it being there and didn’t think to put myself in a first time players shoes. In future I’d likely implement a room where you can only proceed with double jumps, and a sign to confirm the feature.

Thanks for the feedback and the kind words. I’m glad you enjoyed playing the game.

That was really fun with fantastic art! I thought the puzzles were really clever and interesting and I really understood the layout of the map after just playing for about 5 minutes. One point for improvement I'd make is that although what you did with the death/falling was really clever I think it was a bit too punishing to make players go all the way back to the start, I'd recommend doing a similar thing but adding check points throughout the map.

This was awesome, the art and music feel like they are from a real game! The level design is fantastic - it never feels easy - but always stays fun, even when you're trying to open the third barrier! - I love the secret room and hope this becomes something really big!

Thanks for the kind words, I’m glad you enjoyed playing the game. Having seen some people play it now, there are definitely some changes I’d implement to make things a little clearer for the players, but it was a fun project, hopefully I’ll have some time in the future to play around with it a bit more.

Absolutely love the game and art! Great job on the jam. If you have a second I would love it if you could play my game. :)

Thanks for playing, glad you had fun. I’ll be trying to get through a bunch of games this weekend so I’ll be sure to add yours to the list.
