Like the quirky art style, and the movement mechanics were interesting. The theme was very well implemented - especially the risk and reward aspect, where you have to weigh up making the journey forward easier in exchange for more difficulty on the return.

The standard enemies are a little frustrating to deal with, though. Especially as the level design gets tighter, and it becomes virtually impossible to dodge around them for any length of time.

The level design itself is very well paced, introducing interesting new mechanics in each new area, and there's a decent amount of content, especially for a solo dev!

Thanks for the kind words! Yeah i agree the standard melee enemy is a bit meh...

I think it's just a matter of tweaking the balance. The movement speed, the health, how often they attack. Just fiddle with the numbers until they serve both play styles. Stuff you don't normally have time to do in a Game Jam, haha!

It was pretty hard, I couldn't get past level 5, was fun, but difficult :D

Good mechanics and controls, nice collisions making some tough challenges in tight corners or hand to hand fights.

Well done :)

Interesting mechanic, but I beat the game without having to use any weapons, despite being a very bad gamer xD

Try getting a higher score! But thanks for playing :)

I am not a colorblind person but I can imagine someone who cannot see the bullets coming towards him wondering what is hitting him.

Other than that, I really like the movement mechanics and the intensive gameplay.

Yeah thats actually a good one, although im not sure how to improve bullet visibility apart from just making em bigger... Anyway thanks for the feedback!

The game's pretty fun! Didn't make it past lvl 6 though, not enough of a gamer I guess.

The use of dashing for top-down movement feels nice and more interactive than typical top down movement. The game feels a bit too bullet hellish (maybe tone down the turret firerate) and the grenades could do with a bit more bounce, so you can throw them around corners and such.

Nice work!
