Yay, I got the world record! And the game called me a coward. :-P
Awesome game! Very cool and unexpected traps, simplistic 1-bit graphics, fantastic music! I love the music in this game.
Sometimes there’s no way to avoid death, and the game feels unfair because of it. It mostly depends on your luck, not skill. But that’s not necessarily a bad thing. We are escaping a deadly temple, after all, against all odds! It adds more excitement to the game, though at the cost of players’ patience.
I think this game really needs a gamepad support, because my fingers got very tired of pressing arrows after playing for an hour. Sometimes player movement feels too sensitive, which caused me many deaths. An analog joystick on a gamepad should allow for better movement precision (though that might be an unfair advantage).
I’ve submitted my high score, but it’s not appearing on the leaderboard. :-( Is there a moderation period? Because I really want to be up there! EDIT: It’s there now!
Also, the Linux version is missing the
.pckfile. It would be great if you fixed it!Overall great job, it’s one of my favorite games in this jam!
Thanks so much! The feedback is amazing! I have now added console support and the .pck file

Cool game! The enemies where very unexpected in this game. Highest I’ve gotten was 18. I feel like the leaderboard is like a luck meter at this point XD
I've finally done it
Does the leaderboard not update immediately?
No, sorry. It has to post it to the server and receive it again
I hate the bombs so much lmao
As of writing this comment I'm tied for 10th place on the leaderboard (22). I've been trying to beat it for ages and I'm going to go back and keep trying after posting this because this game is so fun.
The music chosen is really good and mixing it with the fast percussion parts works pretty well. The art style fits well too.
I've only found one bug that makes arrows sometimes disappear. I think it's been happening when a wrecking ball falls on an arrow but I'm not sure.
The traps all feel unique and make the gameplay quite unexpected. Some more sound effects might be cool. Sounds for each trap would make the gameplay feel even more eventful, like a sound for the wrecking ball falling, spikes coming up, bombs exploding etc.
Thanks so much for playing and all the feedback! I really like the idea of sound effects for each trap. Will try and add that.
This is a super simple and fun little platform game. I overall liked the chosen music and the games visual style.
Nice & tough game, good job!
Thanks
Fun game, feels like a lost arcade game. Since it's random, some runs can feel unfair.
Thanks for playing and the feedback.
Hi, for anyone who has played the game, or who will play the game. I was wondering what you all thought of the future of this game. If it should stay as a small jam game or maybe released as a mobile game or on Steam etc. Any other suggestions are also welcome
The game is differently a fun little jam game. You could perhaps make a free mobile version of the game. To be honest I would not buy this game if it was on steam.
Very enjoyable game. I like the little hat animation and it is getting very challenging after 5-7 points.
I love the music and would prefer to have it transition more smoothly between respawns. This could be either with fade-out/fade-in effect , use a different sound/music when dying or even just keep playing the music without restarting.
Thanks for playing! Thanks for the feedback. I tried to do a fade transition during the jam but couldn't make it and moved on. I will hopefully add it in soon.
I have added a fade transition and kept music playing
