My only complaint with this is that those damn utensils are impossible to pick up reliably. Other than that, this is one of my favorites from the jam because of how silly and fun it is to fail stacking a bunch of physics objects, how well the theme works, and the really cute art. Also acknowledging Meiling's existence

Needs some kind of end condition, and a few tweaks (right now, the game almost plays itself), but I like the concept. The game looks great, too. Got a score of 319225 before I gave up.

LMAO! Maybe this is why I love physical game.

It could be more fun if this wasn't infinite, having a time limit to stack would make this a lot more interesting and challenging.

I like the art, but its hard to find a good use for this infinite rotation xD.

the art is nice: very high quality kitchenware. i couldn't figure out if there was a trick to stacking them so i just ended up with a big pile and a lot of negative points. who is drinking all of that tea

Less stressful than working in an actual teahouse. I like the three customers, they're adorable

Very cool. Good luck with further game development endeavours ;)

This feels remarkably well-scoped; nice work

I have to say, I like this more than my personal experience with an industrial-style kitchen. The stacking is pretty funny and decently forgiving too. The atmosphere created by the animated background art and music really enhances the experience. Thank you, nameless art fren!

For some reason, my clicks to grab things often fail.

Thank you!

Well the art is one of the few things that kind of rescue this from being a complete disaster, so I'm glad you like it!

Aaaand the problem with grabbing is known to me, it's a result of collision detection, i shouldn't have built the entire game around it and instead there should be a raycat, but I didn't think of that in time. I might come back to it and fix it!

Game is arcade, but has neither time limit or lose condition, so player just have to get bored and turn it off which is not good. Items are hard to grab - I stopped bothering with spoons and forks, but even teapots are hard to grab, which should be main thing, plus items are disappearing too quickly if touch red line, people are imperfect and people can make micro movements towards out of central zone when initially placing object. I understand you wanting people not to cheat, but was there a reason to focus on that?

Overal while I understand concept and tying Teahouse in song to actual restaurant is cool, we are more dishwasher than anyone connected to tea here...

Thank you for the post!

Yeah I agree I could've done much better, but the idea behind it wasn't fully thought out until the last day, when it so happened I ran out of time! I might come back to it and fix stuff, especially by adding a goal / some kind of a level mechanic and adding a lose state too.

i get the concept but it hasn't an objective, just arcade aspect, could be improved on

Developer

Well yeah, I started working on it a little bit late and ran out of time, might improve it in some time!
