I can't believe I didn't expect this ending. Somehow I didn't put two and two together, so I was more surprised than I should have been :P

The gameplay isn't something to write home about but overall it was very enjoyable all along. Liked the art and the writing!

I featured this epic adventure in my Touhou Game Jam showcase video!

A fun RPGmaker game.  Neat art and writing!

Just... how? In 3 days? It could have used another playthrough for catching errors, and the gameplay is a little plain, but that's nothing compared to how amazing the art, music, and writing are and how much fun this was overall. I'd go into more detail about how much charm everything has, but its getting close to the deadline and I still wanted to fit in a few more games.

I will say though, nothing prepared me for Sumireko. What power.

It's clear that the pun intentions drive the story (?

Very fun to watch till the end, barely won but Murasa died (again), so I had to start over, really fun to play.

PD: Among us in mokou house (?

After defeating Mokou, I tried speaking to her again, and it locked me into a second battle with her. On the plus side, I have extra pants now!

I just like this a lot. VIsuals and music are top notch I'm really in love with the character art, specially Jo'on! Also the writing and references were very funny

Love the art style, especially on Mokou. Nice memery

Accidentally ended up refighting Mokou though. That might be on me for not expecting that her event page wouldn't be switched post-fight

This game drips with personality, and charm, and polish, and it wears it with pride. Puns aside, this game is really good! I don't know why it has relatively few view when its so polished and has a dump-ton of content. How did you manage to create such a complete story (albeit a joke one) in just 3 days? Maybe its just because I like RPGs, but this is easily one of the best games in this game Jam. 5/5.

Thank you it means a lot to us! We are all pretty good friends already so writing a story quickly together felt natural really since we all have the same braindead humor lol. We worked first on very generic assets as we brainstormed our idea, so we were able to save a lot of time on that too.

this game fucks.

thank you for making this.

i dont know what touhou is but this is very funny and the art is genuinely really good for a jam game.

the collision was funky sometimes and i got to walk on water but the music fits great with rpgmaker.

there are so many small jokes in this and finding them was always great.

Developer(+1)

Thank you very much! We worked really hard, and both of the artists (Atlas and Cosmo) are really skilled. I'm really proud of what they made for this jam and we had a lot of fun!

holy shit the drip on this game

jo'on got sa1 cover art vibes and i knew i stood no chance at sumireko when i saw her
(i did actually because the game is pretty easy but not a bad thing)

the funamusea-lookin art is absolutely on point too

thank you so much for this game

Developer

Thank you! I sent the image and comment to Atlas and Cosmo and they both laughed :)
We knew beforehand we were going to try a funamusea-esque style with the art so they both practiced that and I think they did a great job adapting to it.

How does one tow a boat?

(Music is groovin' btw)

This game is incredibly silly but it's my exact brand of silly - I had a blast playing through it!

Special props to the music - I'm not sure if it's touhou remixes or original, but it's got a really fun ambience to it that I was grooving along to.

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing, glad you enjoyed it! The music is all original, as personally its much easier for me to make diverse songs for different areas/fights when doing original composition.

Music's not bad. Game's short but goofy and fun, and the art's nice (Got a dynamic feel to battle sprites which I appreciate.) . The mechanics have potential though they're a bit basic.
Overall, I think you should follow up on this (Also it seems like the game was meant to end after Mokou for this demo, but it doesn't make that very clear at all. I can't continue beyond that point so if there's more just tell me)

Developer(+1)

You can continue, talk to the people to the right of the crossroads area. We meant to make this more clear but unfortunately ran out of time. Thank you for playing!

I don't know anything about touhou but I am a fashion connoisseur and I say this game is pretty good
