Really fantastic game. I found the graphics to be really nice, the gameplay to be great... I love this game so much. I included it in part 1 of my Public Domain Jam 2 compilation video series, if you would like to check it out :) https://youtu.be/xbZmIYuD92U

Macabre indeed. But funny, as well. Like, Stick it to the Man funny, and I really liked that game. Full of brilliant little touches: the clock keeps track of missed beats, the dancing of the frames/body parts/etc. in time with the music, how the narrator looks like a conductor in the second scene, the head flying out of the tub, the glowing heart appearing in the third scene while the actual heart was the only body part NOT moving ... I could go on.

The music was excellent, and the beat timing felt fair (which, in my experience, is VERY hard to do). The levels were slightly long, and the unusual key orientation had my wrist a little sore by the end. I also, in the last scene especially, kept wanting to watch the funny flailing that the character was doing, but didn't want to look away from the notes. Not really sure if there's a good solution to that, but I guess that means the game lends itself well to streams or playing with others.

Excellent job, as always. :)

Really great! It took a couple of minutes for me to get used to using HJKL, but once I did it controlled very well. The music is fantastic.

Only made it half way through level 2, but everything about this game is very sweet. Really nice job!

Very nicely done! Smooth and polished. Loved the reading and artwork.

I wish I could have had more time to see what was going on with the scene/animations the right side of the screen though - my eyes were too focused on the falling notes on the left.

Really nice... catchy tunes and some lovely art and animation... just a pity I'm focussing too much on the falling notes to see more than some glimpses.

This is quite addictive (at least the first level, couldn't master the other) and the art is so good and right that I'm sorry I can't really see the movement happening. also, the narrator is brilliant.

I don't know the source material but it seems pretty straightforward.

The polish in this project is very nice - the voice acting and music was top notch, art is high quality, and the story was integrated into the game well. Mechanically the option to use other keys would help with comfort, and having the keys moved from the side to over the main game would allow you to see more of what's happening (as you're so busy focusing on the prompts you forget to watch the story).

The ability to slightly adjust the music playback would have been a nice stretch goal, as I found it sometimes went out of sync and I occasionally had to not play along with the song but focus solely on hitting them when they crossed the input areas.

Each level took me three attempts, so the difficulty (with a little luck) was great for a game this size. All in all, one of my favourite submissions.

Wow! This is super creative, and done superbly well! Personally, I wish there was an option to use the ASDF keys, as I'm more comfortable on that side of the keyboard, but I soon got used to HJKL.

The art is very good, and this is a really good rhythm game. The difficultly really amped up from Level 1 to Level 2, though (haven't got past Level 2 yet.) Wow. This is awesome. Super creative, and done so well! Great work! :D

(btw, I'm also in this jam, with my game HummingBird Haunting! Check it out? Feedback is always welcome: norbez.itch.io/hummingbird-haunting)
