An interesting take on the theme given it requires you to hunt animals to provide food for the people. I do wish it explored that theme further through the nature of survival and providing the player with more choices/creating a sense of urgency. Like instead of the skeletons, maybe have some of the deer fight back against the player or potentially introduce other animals that pose a threat to the player. It would also be nice to have a run button since I found the player movement a bit slow. I did encounter a few bugs with the deer corpses glitching into the ground and being unable to pick them up, but for what it was, I still enjoyed it, kudos to your team!

Creative Vision / Rationale / How Did You Incorporate the Theme
We saw generosity through the lens of nature and life. Two people request help, yet you can only help one due to their contradicting requests. Your generosity is a resource others may take advantage of.

The premise, conflict, and atmosphere are all great setups--I think you guys got that. This is the first game involving killing that made me feel a subversion to the theme of generosity. However, various bugs / not enough polish takes away from immersion, but that can always be corrected given enough effort and time!
For example:
-Green bar too bright, commanding attention.
-Deers' corpses glitches out and are difficult to pick up.
-Too much dialogue at the beginning from the Old Man (a stark contrast from the gun and the deer out of the window setup--I love those and hope you guys keep showing narrative that way, through diegetic methods).
Interesting game with great atmosphere! I would like to have player move faster because most of the time I'm walking. Nice work!
Just a heads up, that uploading a file as .exe will trigger some anti-virus and not allow downloading the file. So, if you can make a web version or zip the file, it will be easier for players to be able to play the game. When I did let Norton and Windows defender allow to play the game, it messed up my sounds :-(
Wow a choice based game (either this or that), I guess I chose wrong and died xD I really liked the vibe of the entire gameplay, I found the gameplay a little bit like minecraft xD I loved ittt!
The ambient sounds and soundtrack are very well done, they effectively set the tone and atmosphere. One area for improvement is how the narrative stakes are reflected in the gameplay. While the story suggests a sense of urgency and danger, the core activities (like hunting deer and finding relics) felt relatively easy and low-risk. I’d recommend incorporating more meaningful player choices and introducing survival elements or resource management systems to better align the gameplay with the story’s tension and themes.
Thanks for the very in-depth feedback! I definitely agree on the easy low-risk core activities, and it was mentioned by others as well. I like the idea of more meaningful choices. To that end, I'm thinking it'll probably come in the form of ramping difficulty to complete the objectives throughout each month based on who you decide to help.
Cool game with weirdly cosy vibes. One of the deer always spawned outside of the invisible walls so my decision was made for me. I still tried to get some food for the village, but it always felt bad shooting the deer with their cry out :'(. A bit more guidance on how to proceed to the next month would have been nice. Casey's reveal at the end was fun and I really liked the aesthetic style, the music and sounds were also done well. I absolutely loved the skeleton's running animation XD. Great work!
Thanks for the feedback! Unfortunately, we weren't able to get everything done for submission time. Crosshair was one of the first things we added post-submission (sorry, slipped past me during crunch time). As for health, there are mobs protecting the relic. We did originally plan boss fights depending on the path you take so that the deer do get retribution. If you choose to take a revisit for the relic, the jam version does break if you take any form of damage. We appreciate you giving our game a run :)
Very atmospheric. I like your take on the theme as well, sometimes helping one can also harm the other and vice versa
