Very interesting composition! There were many parts that felt unexpected and original (in a good way!), starting with the opening back and forth between the choir-piano combo and the xylophone -- such a cool idea! Also some of the things the choir was doing around the 20-second mark and again towards the end were giving me a kind of "Spanish waltz" vibe that took me by surprise and moved the piece away from the more stereotypical orchestral style. It was nice that you didn't go the usual horror movie route, but still managed to maintain a sense of mystery and uneasiness. Nice work!

Great use of piano. The interaction between the treble of the piano and the xylophone really rocked this song. The toms gave some great offbeat support too. The sustained notes of the voices were good contrast to the speed, but I am always distracted by electronic choir sound, so you might look for a different sound there at some point. Very fun to listen to!
Thank you! Glad you liked my experimental sections :). For the voice-sounds, I use MuseScore for my entire song, which isn't made for playing songs but rather for making the sheet music for them! Therefor, it doesn't really give me much variety in the sound of my choir - thanks anyway for the tip though!
I think that a lot of spookiness in music comes from side-by-side comparisons of things that are unexpected. The frantic fast-paced full orchestra next to nothing but xylophone is very unexpected, but definitely meets this criteria. The timpani, choir, piano, and xylophone are almost a comedic pairing of instruments, but I think this works well as a light-hearted scary track. I like the harmonic walk-down that almost gives the sense that you are falling into a dark pit. The middle section contrasts this with an ascending line which adds freshness and replayability to your track and makes it sound complete. Overall, great job and thank you for sharing!
Thanks for the in-depth explanation! The jumps to 'nothing' in the start were a trick I found useful before, so I figured "why not try it again but on crack!" I see what you mean with 'harmonic walk-down' followed by 'an ascending line', that's a useful explanation of what is happening indeed! The middle section was meant to be more powerful than the first, with the third (and final) section giving a slight bit of rest from the chaos of before. Thanks again, glad you like it!
Very good song! I love how the bass and chorus stop to let the melody play!
