I think that a lot of spookiness in music comes from side-by-side comparisons of things that are unexpected. The frantic fast-paced full orchestra next to nothing but xylophone is very unexpected, but definitely meets this criteria. The timpani, choir, piano, and xylophone are almost a comedic pairing of instruments, but I think this works well as a light-hearted scary track. I like the harmonic walk-down that almost gives the sense that you are falling into a dark pit. The middle section contrasts this with an ascending line which adds freshness and replayability to your track and makes it sound complete. Overall, great job and thank you for sharing!

Thanks for the in-depth explanation! The jumps to 'nothing' in the start were a trick I found useful before, so I figured "why not try it again but on crack!" I see what you mean with 'harmonic walk-down' followed by 'an ascending line', that's a useful explanation of what is happening indeed! The middle section was meant to be more powerful than the first, with the third (and final) section giving a slight bit of rest from the chaos of before. Thanks again, glad you like it!
