This is so good!
I love the point and click elements and the animations. The endings really threw me for a loop!
Great job!

Love the way this story is presented! Not much is said in the dialog at all but we get some glimpse of this world that is showed subtly in each minigame scene. The drawing is simple but charming and a stark contrast to the underlying horror. The ending scene is very well directed and cinematic, I liked it a lot.
One thing I would suggest is adding a Renpy hard pause when the ending scene started, and give it enough time for the whole ending to play out. Because otherwise impatient player can accidentally make a double click and skipped the whole ending back to main menu.
I am so invested in the world building of this game! I absolutely love the little bits of detail in the background, especially during the first minigame with the eery newspapers! I also absolutely adore Paddy as a character, I found them to be so adorable and their little comments to be so silly! I honestly let out a gasp when I ended up getting the bad ending, poor paddy!!!!!! :( all in all, though! I really enjoyed it! and hope to see more of this creepy, fun world!
I actually really adore this game! While it doesn't have the polish of other games, what I adore is the premise and writing-- it really lets me ease into horror parts of the game. Something that really stuck out to me was Mrs.Potts because she was the first choice I did to get ingredients, I forgot that I was playing something Spooktober related until I saw her turn around, that and what she said to me was the right amount of unnerving.
The mini games are good and adds to subvert your expectations, though I wish there was some variety to them?
Overall, this game is really promising, something I'd like to see again with more of a polish, especially with the UI, lack of sound design and the like. I can't wait to see more!
Thank you! I'm glad the writing seems to have resonated well with people, especially as it's my main focus and I wasn't very happy with it in submission. I'll be releasing an update which will clean up a few things I haven't had a chance to pre-submission, such as for the play experience around the prep and cooking stages :) Thank you for the feedback, and congrats on your awesome entry!
I loved this story, so well written! I love how it starts off light hearted and gets more interesting but also eerier as it goes. It would have had a different feeling if the narrator didn't engage with the story as much either. I enjoyed finding the hidden objects and cooking too! Everything felt really well balanced, like it had just the right amount of salt. Awesome job!
Similar to another poster, I skipped the ending accidentally, but it was a cute and funny game, and I always appreciate a unique art style and interactive elements in a VN. Good job!
What a charming game! The humor was a particular standout - along with the graphics, it had a really great early 2010's internet feel, and the interactions between Paddy and narrator were great. I'm excited to hear you're planning more in a future update, and excite to peel back a few more layers of the world. Also I'm now craving eggs benedict, so well done there. Huge congrats - especially for being a solo dev project, wowee!!
This was such a fun vn~ I loved how the world was gradually shown (not told) to us throughout the game, and the endings had fun variation to them. Super charming art style that's what drew me in initially haha :) if you do ever add additional dishes in the future I'd gladly play through again and see any different reactions, but even as-is it was great!!!
Outright cackled when I got to the end. This is the most adorable-slash-disturbing game I may have ever played. Well done, Paddy. I knew you could do it. 💚
I really enjoyed this one, kinda stumbled into the good ending. My only complaint is if you accidentally click past "Good Luck" it skips the whole ending. Otherwise it's great and reminds me a bit of "Harvey's New Eyes".
Loved the art style and I am truly amazed by how polished everything is, from the lore you created, to the interface, the puzzle elements and how every element work together to create a fun experience. The music fits perfectly too! Made me a bit hungry too, but definetly not for bacon :) Great job!
