Thank you very much for leaving a comment! I appreciate it! >_<
And yes, this story is pretty grim! I think it has the oldest protagonist of all my stories (and a married one, no less!) so that might be why it feels more mature? I don't write characters like this very often, so it was fun to step out of my comfort zone a bit.
Maybe I should try writing something else with a slightly older cast of characters...
And I'm glad to hear that things were resolved between you and your wife! Fortunately, not many people are pursued by cute cat girls, so it shouldn't be an issue haha ;;

Aaah, thank you for such a long and detailed comment!
This story took a pretty long time to write, so it makes me really happy to hear you liked it! >_<
I was also a bit worried Rhea might be a dull protagonist, but I'm relieved some people like her at least haha ;;;
This comment made my day! Thank you! xxx
Aaah this is so sweet of you! Thank you so much!! >_<
I'm sorry for taking a few days to reply - this was such a long and kind message that I wasn't really sure what to say, haha n_n;;
I'm glad you enjoyed the story so much! Writing and coding something this huge was quite a challenge, so I'm glad it paid off in some small way, and a few people liked it!
I'm also really glad you liked Rhea! I was worried people would find her boring, since maybe she's a bit passive at times (though I tried to make her stand up for herself when the story called for it too haha). I like her a lot too, and I think she's a sweetheart u///u
Val & Luca are also very easily my favourite LIs, too. I think they are probably most people's favourites, haha. I wonder if my bias for these two characters was too evident when I wrote the story...
Anyway, thank you so much! Reading this comment really made my day! <3 <3 <3
aah thank you that's really kind of you q_q
i'm glad you enjoyed the story! it means a lot to me!
there's a lot of vns out there i think are much better than mine though haha XD; fata morgana and umineko in particular are some of my all-time favourites!
There's a chance it might be your antivirus software flagging it as a virus and not letting the game launch. You can check out whatever antivirus software you use and set the game to an exception and see if that works.
If not, please send me a message at email@example.com.
Antivirus software often flag indie games as having malware/viruses because they haven't been downloaded many times and so are considered untrustworthy. The VN itself is perfectly fine. The best thing to do would be to mark the game as an exception in your antivirus program so you can play it. If you don't want to do that then e-mail me privately at firstname.lastname@example.org so we can sort something out.
I sent Sekai Project the updated version for Denpasoft, and the updated patch. Since the updated version has been working fine for everybody who bought the itch.io version, maybe they didn't upload the new build. I don't want to buy my own game from Denpasoft to check what build they've uploaded, so I'm not sure.
Send me your email address, and I'll send you the itch.io version of the game which I know works properly, and tell me if you still receive the error during this scene.
You can try looking for your persistent data in this folder:
which will be on your PC somewhere.
There should be a file in here called 'persistent'. Delete it, then try and see if the scene works.
You need to delete the old folder of the game first. Don't download a new version and then overwrite the old files with the new ones - that has the same effect as downloading the new adult patch and trying to paste it on top (it won't work). Make sure all your game files are deleted before you download the new version, so your computer doesn't prompt you to overwrite files when you extract the update.
The error has been fixed. Don't try and patch the adult scene with the new adult.rpa because the game won't recognise the file has been changed - you need to download the adult version on Denpasoft again. Sorry for causing you problems!
I do still have the original version of the VN saved on my laptop, but I don't think uploading it would be a good idea because people might just download that for free instead of buying the new version, which would make the remake... unnecessary? I also don't want people reading the inferior version when there's a better version available u_u
Thank you very much u///u
I don't think I can give a link to the rain effect individually, as I bought it in a pack of sound effects and I don't think the individual file can be distributed on its own... but there are a lot of ambient rain sound effects on youtube :>
Thank you for the comment u///u
The songs were all obtained from Japanese websites, so they all have Japanese names, and I renamed all of them so I could organise them better. Do you know where this orchestra song plays? Maybe I can find it for you if I know which song you mean specifically.
Thank you u///u
The use of the engine isn't really that 'intricate' haha XD; I probably couldn't do some of the complicated things Christine Love does with Ren'py as I'm not particularly good at coding.
I haven't done any other visual novels like this, and I'm not sure if I will in the future, but it was a fun experiment.
Thank you very much for your kind comments! I'm glad you liked the story this much! u///u
Yeah, I tend to write a lot of female protags, mostly because I feel more comfortable writing female characters... but I'm trying to branch out a bit more and try some different things >_> Hopefully it's working!
And no, I haven't seen that anime u_u
Ah, thank you so much u///u
I've been into VNs for 5 or 6 years I think, and I think there are a lot of repeated tropes even across JVNs - and a lot of EVNs like using some of the similar tropes, too. I thought it would be fun to try and write some stuff that is a little bit different u_u
The budget here is pretty low as well, but I tried to work it in the story's favour haha XD; Ren'py isn't too crude of an engine I think - there is actually quite a lot that can be done with it - but I'm not the best at coding. I try to make up for it with lots of panning of CGs and using transitions carefully.
I hope you like my other works! I experiment a lot with my writing style quite a bit, so my stories tend to appeal to different people >_>
The game has a pretty big variety of unique responses for certain names. You also get unique responses if you name the MC after characters from my other VNs, some other popular VNs/anime, and some meme-y ones.
As for the second question, do you want me to write a walkthrough? I can if you want. If you've read both Daff and Maddie's routes then getting the third one should be relatively easy.
.Thank you, I'm glad you liked it u///u
This is a very simple problem haha. I mispelt one of the transitions as 'dissolv' instead of 'dissolve'. Ignoring this won't have any negative impact on the story and it won't mess anything up.
I just updated the game so this shouldn't be a problem anymore, though.
Thank you for telling me!
Thank you, that's very kind of you to say! >///<
I think the clean style of the sprites and CGs suits the writing as well, since the writing is pretty... simple, maybe? XD;;
If you buy the full version, I hope you enjoy it! <3
Thank you for reading, I'm glad you enjoyed it!
I'm not interested in writing a sequel, but I think LMLU is kind of similar tonally to another VN I've been working on, so if you liked this one, you might like that. Though, this VN will be commercial, and it's not finished yet, orz
But I'll do my best >_<
