  • ven if you kind of brushed me off a bit on Twitter — of course, even if that’s true, it was all in good humor. The game… wow. My whole community and I were blown away. It’s truly exceptional. But honestly, I already had a feeling it would be. Naturally, after seeing the game you made with Oti — actually, the two games you made with Oti, both of them beautiful, especially the second one — I was pretty sure I’d find some of those same amazing effects again. But here, the concept, the idea, even the gameplay, the level design you managed to pull off in such a short time… seriously, it’s a real treat. A huge thank you. I didn’t give the music a perfect score, just because I would have loved to hear a second track, and I have to leave some room for others. But otherwise, once again, congratulations. Thank you for treating us to this. You give us hope for the future of the Super Nintendo. Thanks again.
  • Very interesting gameplay. A little frustratingly auto-scrolling, but the music and feel are very nice.
  • Very unique game and I enjoyed the gameplay mechanic. I am impressed with the quality of this creation for this contest.
  • Best bible game ever? Great game with high replay value, I hope to see an extended version. It is a tough but fair challenge with great polishing and a lot of details.

The explosions and screen shakes in this feel so goooood! Really dig the art style and music, as well, especially the small touches like the way the bouncing spikeballs deform and the level-end cross warps into view. Excellent work!

Loved the visual aesthetic on this. The game was a lot of fun to play even though my times were pretty bad. The religious vibe isn't really my thing as an atheist, but from reading your devlog I really appreciate how much it means for you and I'm glad you were able to reconcile your faith and your desire to participate. Your work really shines, and the community is richer for your participation.

Thank you so much for taking the time to evaluate all the entries in this jam! I think the format of critically reviewing the entries together with your community in the stream and all that feedback is very valuable to us as developers. It's a double-edged sword, of course: On the one hand, watching others play your game with reactions is a free feedback goldmine. On the other hand, it can be very painful if bugs are discovered, you realize your intentions as a developer don't come across or if you get the feeling that your game, which you poured your heart and soul into, is being dunked on. I think you did a great job there. So thank you again!

Amazing entry as always. Polish goes such a long way. Love the Bible verses. I can’t speak for anyone else, and I’m not sure just how strict the jam organizers are enforcing the rules, but I say just let the smaller version compete. 🤷‍♂️

I really enjoyed this one and the music is great!

Developer (1 edit) (+1)

The version submitted before the jam concluded failed to meet the ROM size rule, so in fairness to all other participants, this game should be disqualified.
For completeness sake, I've just submitted version 1.1, which honors said rule.

Jam Host(+1)

Did you change anything else aside from the ROM size?
I can't see any differences.

Developer

No, just a couple of minor bugfixes and slightly coarser graphics due to cutting the ROM size in half.

A really great and funny game. It's fantastic! I feel very honored that "Super Rambler" had inspired you :)

Kinda fun. Feels like there's potential there. :)
