That is epic! Will you create a similar emulator for Game Boy or SNES?

If you can't pick the next system for a JURL port, maybe try the Super Game Boy. Dr Ludos created an interesting project about this with source code available.

Great update!

To all members of the jury, please don't forget to rate the games! Only 2,5 days left, after that you can't the games anymore!
So far only 3 of the 6 judges seem to have rated the games. If you can't find the time to rate all of them, at least rate a few ;)

I had some trouble getting into your game in the beginning, because I didn't understand the controls properly and I was clueless on what to do. Then I got it and got hooked, the really cool design and the atmospheric music add a lot to the whole feeling.

I hope you will continue working on this game and include some more power-ups and maybe a bit of story to read in some  of the empty rooms about what happened and where exactly the player is.

Control issue: if you stand really close to a wall that's north of you and try to shoot left or right it's like the shot gets stuck in the wall and doesn't fly towards the enemy. Cost me some lifes :D

Will the stream be recorded? You should definitely post a link here.

You should definitely continue this project I'd be very interested in playing it the way you've planned it.

Did you change anything else aside from the ROM size?
I can't see any differences.

Don't be sad mate, I have requalyfied it for everyone to see it!

But I think it has to be disqualified again before the rating period ends. Also 1 or 2 other games probably.

next time!

Ok, I thought I was too dumb to figure out what this game is about :D

There where roms, where are they?

Could you explain what this is and what was originally planned?
Doesn't seem to work on my end.

Amazing results!

Nice! Will you add more levels after the jam?
The concept is nice with the combining of colors especially.

That looks epic so far!

So far no game attached. If you want it to participate in the jams rating, you can upload an unfinished state before the jam ends.

Will we receive an Update tomorrow :) ?

Hi, thanks for the free game :) I'll soon write a little review.

Could you maybe include a time-related score bonus? Otherwise the score is very predetermined, since collecting diamonds is the only thing that adds points.

Hi, thanks for the submission, it is a really cool concept!

Buuuut, I don't think it fits these constraints, right?
- 256 KB (LOROM)
- No expansion chips (SA-1, Super FX etc), no SRAM.

Great idea! Can't wait to test it!
It is cool that you have created an unobtrusive background for it.

Looks like a nice platformer :) Guild of Mad Scientists sounds crazy and I am already hooked.

A stripped down demo is better than nothing! I can't wait to test your game.

I don't think that's really possible.

SNES programming is quite complex.

I am always hooked when I read multiplayer :)

Tank-like controls?

The final month of this jam begins in a few hours. Please remember to adjust your projects realistically to the time frame.

Some impressive results have already been shared here and on social media. I am sure there will be even more great results to see.

If you are unable to complete your projects within the given time frame, please do not be discouraged and finish them anyway, taking the time you need. I am sure that everyone who participated would like to see all the results, including the late ones.

Rock on everybody! The SNES lives on through you.

Cool style! Looks epic.

I guess you can submit it anyways if you'd like everyone to see it. Worst case is a deduction in the rating.

But no matter when - I hope the game will get completed :)

Not planned so far... but who knows :) ?

Nice first submission!
I can't find anybody to rescue or any diamonds though :D

Maxel shared something amazing via X today:

Helpful discord from the creator of the Super MIDI Pak Collab album for SNES:
"If you know people who are looking for SNES composers, they are welcome to come to the Super MIDI Pak discord and ask others there."

Sadly he can't join himself this time. But maybe the discord will be helpful to some of you :)

Hi, cool tracks :) I hope to hear more from you.
Also nice artworks, the fact that they aren't static really adds something atmospheric to it.

It'd be great if you could join the SNES DEV Game Jam 2025, a lot of programmers but many struggle with creating music for the SNES

That startscreen is fire! I also like the title :)

A screenshot is enough if you don't want to write anything about it.

Not neccessarily, you can also team up with others who already joined.

If you team up with people who haven't joined please always credit them properly.

It is ok to use assets as long as they are credited properly.

Here an example for some good ones: https://ansimuz.itch.io/

If you like to share some more, feel free to do so.

I am very excited to see the upcoming results - do not hesitate to ask questions or team up with others!
Every piece of work will be appreciated!

Hi, I can't make it work...
What do I need to do?

Hi, are you still working on it?
I'd really like to play and review it.

Hey, sorry for the late reply.

Yes, all code must be completely original.

lol, very cool game

The graphics are great by NES standards, there are some SNES games that look worse.
