Really cool game! I enjoyed the camera mechanic. The atmosphere was also really well done. I encountered some bugs with the camera, first at one point the camera took me outside the map. Also midway through the first day my camera blur effect started to kick in a bit too early and I could see the camera travel through the walls/floor as well I saw entities t-posing. Overall good game, great work!
If this is your first horror game, it is outstanding! The atmosphere, the story, the mystery... all of it comes together in a neat package. I really didn't know what to expect, so this gets top marks for Story. It got me invested an kept me there through the whole experience.
My only suggestion is maybe cut back on the monologuing in the middle. It feels just right at the beginning, establishing a motive for doing what we want to do. In the middle, I certainly had my suspicions about the characters, so it was hard to put myself into the frame-of-mind that the player was experiencing. At the end, it was a perfect amount of decisions, leading to solid choices a variety of players would make.
Other than that, it's a fantastic game worthy of anyone's time to play!
I don't know how that camera jumpscare got me... Man, just when I let my guard down lol. The choice at the end really felt like it mattered, and had me thinking for a bit. Good job with this one.
Congrats on your submission! I kept expecting the trope jump scare at the camera so I was on high alert the whole time... until I wasn't and that's when you got me hahaha. Creepy and Interesting visual novel. I clicked the night vision a few times but there was never actually a *need* to use it.
I really liked the narrative, although I felt a bit lost as to what to do while watching the cameras.
Otherwise, I think it's a great game, a few more elements could make everything more fluid. Congratulations.
I really liked this. You never know unless you double take it, but I really felt like my choice at the end was weighted and could have resulted in a different outcome. =D
Loved the story, very suspenseful and well executed. I agree with other commenters that maybe adding more actions while waiting would keep players more engaged, could be subtle things that dont really affect the story, like switching lights on or off or stuff like that. Heck, the character doesn't even really need to react to them, it's just something else to do while waiting.
But I really enjoyed the slow burn, really great stuff for your first horror game, congrats!
Thank you very much! Yeah I agree with that, will definitely think about more interactions in the future.
Wanted to play your submission later today as well, looking forward to it. :)
As a FNAF fan I do enjoy the multiple camera mechanics and I enjoyed the story! The only thing I would wanna point out is that I wish there was something more to do while watching the cameras(Almost like the TV, Door and light thing but more urgent) as it could get a little tedious just waiting for things to happen.
(Oh and I tried out the Mac version too but couldn't get it to work for some reason just so you know o.o)
Great work, keep it up! :D
Glad you enjoyed it, thanks for playing! :)
Yea I agree after testing it multiple times that more interactions would've been nice, sadly so little time :(.
I liked tormenting the guy
Who doesn't? ๐ Thank you for playing! :)
I enjoyed the jump scares, the sounds also had me on edge. I think this was a great narrative experiance. I look forward to seeing more
Thank you very much! Glad you enjoyed it. :)
