Actually, you bypassed the system. I was surprised to see that the game didn't "crash" because in tests I did before, if the player picked up the key before picking up the lighter, the game would crash and it wouldn't be possible to continue... I'll put in a "lock" that prevents the player from solving the safe puzzle before having the necessary tools to do so, or it could cause problems in the entire game. The code is still scattered throughout the books, however, I chose to also put it in its entirety on the wall because many people couldn't find the books.
