10/10 best unofficial prequel I've seen. On a serious note, the visuals were very cool, the audio was creepy, and I appreciate having two different death mechanics. The darkness one did confuse me a bit at first, some kind of graphic indication I was getting got would've been nice-- though at the same time I appreciate not shoving in a jumpscare.

I love the aesthetics and the atmosphere, very oppressive.

Really well done! 👏

Very cool usage of cranking the flashlight (as well as doors). Nice lighting and level design too, the textures and shaders look great. The fisheye style view is neat and helps to set the PT vibe but some of the camera effects (vhs-y) feel a little out of place (unless you were of course using a camera). I originally died repeatedly at the beginning until figuring out the mechanics. After so many retries, it started to feel more like an avoid/dodge-y kinda game and started to drain on the atmosphere. Overall, great team effort!

This is a near corridor horror game with a few interesting twists to keep it lively. I like the distortion effects that warp your field of vision. It's also neat to have a game mechanic that makes you have to keep tabs on your torch to see things. There are some fun atmospheric tricks too to keep players on their toes. I think the only bit of feedback I can give is that having a more 'present' threat rather than sound effects and a fuzzy screen might allow for more of a scare, but overall it worked really well!

Okay, the ending got me. It made me laugh.

Thanks for submitting The Hallway to the SCREAM MACHINE game jam.

One of the bests game I've played until now!

I loved the shaders's choices, the atmosphere, the "low fps" effect, the flashlight mechanic, everything!

Good atmosphere, took me a minute to figure out the mechanics but once I was set I really liked where it was headed. Speed of the crawler made me jump.

Short but nice game. After i found the "Skyrim" ending, I played it a second time and as I walked to the bright door i just fell down into the endless void.

The atmosphere in this was amazing.  Died like 10 times before I made it through the door and 30 times before I made it down the stairs.  The first time the static screen came on, I crapped myself (nice Jump scare), Also in the final hallway down stairs.  Is there a way to get past that area?  Also I am still not 100% sure what the spacebar action was for.  Thought it was to stop me from Looking at "it", but died regardless.  In the end I just sprinted like crazy.  Great entry loved this!!!
