Good setup for a survival platformer!  I think the effects and blinking mechanics are set up well are really pay off - the flashing skull made me jump the first time I saw it! From here on in diversifying the platforming mechanics to be more than switches and doors, and adding a survival mechanic i.e. advancing threat whenever you blink, seems like the way to go with this. It's a great start to a game and I'm very keen to see how this develops into a complete horror experience. Great work!

Thanks for submitting Don't Blink to the SCREAM MACHINE jam!

Fascinating concept, but a bit of a headache for me from the blur and the screen glitches. I got caught in a bug once where the first elevator stopped and I kept on going (stuck against the wall on the right). Very neat gameplay ideas though, really nice aestethic, and I'm interested to see where this goes.

Developer

Haaaaa thanks for playing and for notifying me about the bugs :)

I will check as soon as I can.

What a fantastic game ! I have never blinked with such anticipation before. The blinking mechanic makes things so stressful when you're trying to find that next lever but the blink meter is almost down but then you don't want to blink because you just don't know what's going to happen next ! The ambiance and footsteps also really improves the whole aesthetic of this beautifully looking game.

Thank you so much for playing!

I'm very happy that the core mechanic of the game worked well! Now we're gonna work on improvements on the scary things that will happen when you blink!

And thanks for you feedback! It's very important =D

I absolutely loved your game !
It looks like it isn't quite finished indeed, but the idea behind the gameplay is great !
Can't wait to see what you are going to do from this.

Wow! Thank you   :D

Yes, the game it's not finished yet, but we need feedback about what was made until now, so we submit the game with an... "not much effective monster"  XD

Thank you again for your time spend playing ;)

Cool game! I love the aesthetic and the visual effects. The creature seemed like a nice old chap, he rode the elevators with me a few times. I'm looking forward to seeing the full version of this game!

That is really cool game. I hope you will continue to develop it. )) Sound is bit annoying but it is because lack of time. Actually good practice for musicians click in rythm and doing other things together.

Thanks for playing and for being patient with the bug  XD

Yeah, we're gonna keep developing this game, and I'm very exited! We have a well defined TODO list of features to be implemented, including music :)

Thank you again for your feedback ;)

Very interesting game, the graphics are beautiful, the mechanics are cool and the sound effects are adequate.

The game has a dark look, but it's still not that scary. Perhaps adding monsters (the authors comment on that) and other elements of surprises.

The camera movement could be smoother and it would also be nice to add a more linear blur over time (blinking), creating a sensation from the beginning that the eye needs to be blinked. I think I could also divide the screen into 2 parts (right and left eye), then I could use the 2 mouse buttons, one for each eye.

Congratulations and success.

Thanks alot for your feedback Kleber! It's very important to us! <33

Guys, this game it's a WIP, we don't have enought time to finish the monster implementation, but we gonna keep working on this project, and every feedback about what we do until now it's absolutely welcome.

All instructions to how to play it's on description.
