Awesome game I really liked it. I would like to see more of it!

There is a bug, if you scrap a car and after it turns into the parts there is a very brief second where you can click E again to scrap the same car again. This will freeze the game.

Cool concept! It’s hard to stop playing. I mean, there are quite a few successful pixel simulation games on Steam, but a junkyard simulator? That hasn’t been done yet.

Could be a great idea to keep working on!

I also ran into the bug where the game crashes, but aside from that, it’s a great foundation!

The setting felt pretty unique and engaging to me. You should consider making it an entire game maybe.

Cool concept and I love the level design! <3

idea is great, you should work more on it!

I would love to have that as a Stardew Valley expansion.

Nice job overall but we were a bit confused what our goal was since we aren't able to sell the scrap outright...

Did you consider making the scrapping mechanic a bit more interactive? That would really juice it up a lot :)

The style and music really remind me of Let’s Build a Zoo, which I really like! However, the lack of explanations makes the start a bit tricky. Objects tend to jitter when moving, and it’s a bit of a shame that you can’t break down everything. That said, the game definitely fits the theme, and for such a short development time, it’s really well done!

So adorable, but i was a bit disappointed that i could not scrap *everything*...my first try was on the shack xD Still super fun and cute

Developer(+1)

We wanted to add more interactive stuff but ran out of time. So glad you still had fun! :)

Nice art and idea! But smashing the e button next to a car can crash the game. :(

Developer

Thank you!  And we didn't know about that bug.  We'll definitely check it out but I don't know how to reproduce the crash because it didn't happened when I was playing it yet

After the car parts loot is spawend the car is still there for a short time. In this time press e again.

Awesome idea—just needs a little polish, and it'll be perfect!

Developer

Thanks a lot!  Yeah, definitely needs more polish

Thank you so much!

Amazing aesthethic, gives me Stardew Valley vibes! If you'd have had more time, what would you have added or changed? :)

Developer(+1)

Wow, thank you so much! 😊

If we had more time, we definitely wanted to add a full gameplay loop: you'd collect scrap, sell the materials you gather (like screws and metal, but much more other things), and then use that money to buy new piles of scrap to process. We also wanted to add some upgrades for the scrapyard and maybe even new tools or machines to help break things faster.
Lots of ideas but just ran out of time during the jam

Yeah 48 hours is really tough :D You did something pretty cool and can definitely be proud of it

That game is really sweet, Garbage truck is the best!

Developer

Thanks a lot!

Submitted(+1)

I LOVE the garbage truck art and all the other pixel art as well! But i could not find out what to do besides collecting car scrap.

Developer(+1)

You're right.  At this point, collecting car scrap is pretty much all you can do. We had bigger plans, like selling the scrap and buying new piles to keep the scrapyard running, but we ran out of time to implement those mechanics. Anyways thank you for checking it out!

Submitted

How do you sell scrap?

Developer(+2)

Good question! 😅 We actually didn't get to implement the selling part in time. The idea was that you could sell the materials you collect from scrap, but for now, it's just the gathering part without the selling system. Definitely something we'd add if we continue working on it!

The art looks really good!

I like the art style 🙂 but what's the goal?

Developer

Thank you! 😊 Glad you liked the art style even though most of it is from an asset pack we linked in the description!
The goal was supposed to be running a scrapyard.. you destroy scrap to collect items like screws, metal, etc., and then sell those to earn money. With that money, you'd buy new scrap to keep the cycle going and grow your scrapyard over time. But we sadly couldn't finish it within 48h
