Nice a Space Game ;)
I realy enjoyed the atmosphere and lighting in your game. I would prefer a camara that follows the maincharacter, sometimes it was hard to see the right way when the camera position changed. Overall a very nice experience :D
Amazing art for such a short time!
Would have loved to reach the end but my jump and run skills are a bit lacking :D
platforming kind of wonky cause you immediatly fall down but overall nice game :D
Great job so far, looking forward to seeing how this evolves!
It seems so polished with the cool lighting and art work. But I gotta agree with the others: the movement was sometimes annoying, I think a small time frame that allows you to jump even after you walked over the edge would help a lot. The screen switches add difficulty to it. I wouldn't say its necessarily bad, but it makes it harder. Aside form these aspects it was a nice experience!
The controls were really not that easy. Maybe some coyote time and some easing when starting/stopping would have done the whole thing some good.
But the atmosphere is really good.
Nice game!
But I have one major issue with it: Very fast moving platforms and jumps you have to do that are outside of the camera. This was very frustrating in combination. This way a lot of jumps were very hard and always a shot in the dark. Either let the camera follow the player or do these jumps on the actual camera screen but I saw in the other comment that this was already implemented but broke.
And just a little logical error: If you press x right at the start of the game you have the tool animation before even collecting it. I thought there was a bug with attacking because the monster did not die and I moved on. But after collecting the tool I realized it was working. Maybe you should remove the animation at the start and add a prompt like: "I need a tool to attack" when you don't have the tool at the start and press x to remove the confusion.
But all in all a very nice game, nice level design with lots of features already implemented. Good job!
Movement was somewhat frustrating sometimes, especially with how you often had to guess exactly where to jump due to screne transitions. I fell down pretty often because a platform suddenly ended right after a scene transition and sometimes it took me long to figure out exactly where I had to go because the scene transitions made it a little confusing. I think some frustrations might have been alleviated if there was coyote time to help you jump more precisely.
However I really appreciate how you managed to create a nice atmosphere with the dynamic lighting and background music!
Ye, you are right :D
Unfortunately, during compiling for the web, our camera broke and we didn't manage to repair it on time.
That made the game a lot harder.
The fun thing is that the game version for PC works fine XD. We will try to repair it after the game jam.
I had some problems with the movement but I like the art alot :)
Happy to hear that you like it :D
Did you make it on your own?
