  • While the connection to the jam theme wasn't as strong as I'd have liked, execution on the musical bullet hell was great both in terms of gameplay and sound design.

Our game is a kind of cheat simulator that creates glitches in the game to spread chaos.

This is a great game! The music was perfectly timed with the action, which greatly enhanced the experience. I would love to see more content added in the future. Excellent job!

The game was fun and the music are on point, reminded me of hexagon which is positive, however I feel it wasnt really exploiting the theme even with the funny UI thing to enter the level, that wasnt enough

Your composer really came through. While the levels were decent, I definitely found myself pushing through it for the music and the projectiles syncing with the music in the first level was noticeable and added to the fun factor.

Pretty fun game!

The music is of course the highlight of the game, and it really shines through. I enjoy the tracks a lot.

On the gameplay side, I thought it offer a modest challenge, but tbh I don’t see it as much of a rhythm game, maybe closer to a bullet hell game. The game is still fun to play, but I thought the genre classification is not the same as you said. There’s also the problem that each level ends where the song ends, but there’s no visual indication on the game screen of the player progress in the song. I also thought the initial puzzles before the music section was a bit unrelated to the core experience, but I suppose it still relates to the game thematic.

The visuals are simple but still fun to look at.

Overall I think this is a pretty enjoyable game. Good job!

Game Exploit

I found a game exploit where I could just move the player into a border, take one damage, just stay there and clears the stage without doing anything else.

Developer

Thank you for such a detailed review. I should point out that as developers, we never stated that our game is a rhythm game. We described it as a “musical game.” The player doesn’t press buttons in sync with the music (although enemy figures are spawned roughly to the rhythm).

Also, thanks for pointing out the exploit.

Oh sorry, I must have misremembered the wordings when I was writing the comment. The mistakes you make when you’re sleep deprived haha. Still, it was an enjoyable game :)

The gameplay, design and sound go very well together. At first, I thought it was an endless game. I think showing the distance to the end of the level would help.

I really liked the new scenario, we fight against people as well as the obstacles, if you can, also test mine and evaluate it, thank you.

Thank u, i'll try your game

Nice and juicy game! It inspires me to make a game with no textures to learn more techniques to increase the juice! Great work!

I liked the word-making hack style. Seeing more hack styles would be great but I understand that the time limitation makes things hard. Overall, was a nice game.

Overall a nice game and super amazed that you guys made that in 3 days, was very good!

This is really cool. I love how you went a bit meta with the theme. I also love this is essentially a rhythm game. Syncing the sound to the obstacles is really satisfying to see. Great work!
