What main engine/tool/language did you use to construct the game?
Godot

How does your game apply the optional theme "break"?
It's about a lunch break. Also, there's a weak pun in the name.

Which art and audio did you / your team NOT create from scratch?
The music and most of the sound effects are pre-existing CC-licensed work. Some of the art too, but all of it has been edited, at minimum to fit the palette. See game page for details.

Which art & audio did you / your team create BEFORE the jam started?
None

Which diversifiers did you use, if any?
In a Song (though the song is longer than the game), One Button (the whole game uses only the left mouse button)

Fun and easy to play game. And it has small puzzle element too.

I am torn between wishing there would be more foods and drinks to add variety or wishing it'd be kept this way to make it easier.

Nonetheless it was fun lunch break.

Jesse, we have to praise the breaking bad reference!

... And the rest of the game. I loved chilling out with this one, and would love to see you add more to it with more food and drink on the menus (shame there was no Pollos Hermanos on there) and vibe-boosting things to play around with.

The game's also quite easy, but sometimes easy games are just what the cartel ordered and I find myself replaying it over and over - great work <3

fun and aesthetically pleasing (score: 2462 (or was it 2426? don't remember 😅))

Developer(+1)

That's a good score! Anything in the mid-2000s is very impressive, going above that basically requires speedrun strategies, haha.

Thanks for checking out and for the nice comment!

It's ok. I don't particularly care for this genre but your game's doing everything that it tries to do reasonably well. I like the monochromatic terrain with with the few colored objects standing out against it.

Since when is that thing called a "loop snack"? Haha xD

Developer

That's fair - the genre isn't for everyone. Thank you for checking it out anyway, and for the kind words!

The game uses weird phrasing in a few places to add to the atmosphere. Makes it a little more interesting, I figured. 🥨

Nice game! I included it in my Palette Jam 2 compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look. :)

You have made an adorable little game, very pleasant to watch, very fun to play, and not always easy to manage when you end up crumbling under demands ^^ The tutorial is very well done, and I am too jealous about your scores online (I really tried to make some, but I had too hard time coding the php files correctly <_< ). So, great job! I greatly appreciate the care taken in every detail. The game is admittedly simple, a little minimalist in its form and concept ("Papers, Please" vibes for me), but everything that is present on the screen is perfectly designed to improve the gaming experience. An excellent idea, therefore, perfectly done. Congratulations to you !

Developer

Thank you! "Papers, Please" was one of the main inspirations - it's nowhere near as complex, of course, but I wanted to go for the combination of simple and minimalist mechanics that add up to a surprisingly intense experience. Thanks for checking it out, and for the kind words.

The game is charming, simple, and has a great vibe on it.
Loved it!

Thank you!

Pretty nice game! The art and music are both great and work well with the theme of the game. The multitasking is pretty fun although it still gets very repetitive.

Developer

Thank you! As it stands, the mechanics probably couldn't support a longer game, that's fair. If I was to expand the concept, I'd make sure to include some greater variety in the tasks.

Interesting sorting game, a bit too stressful sometimes but well executed!

Developer

Thank you! I figured I'd better cram some excitement into these 120 seconds.

Seemed simple at the start, but the multi-tasking got wild!
I quite like the art and music.
The tutorial really explained it to the point where i could play it, gives me some "papers please" vibes.
But extra points for the "eating sounds" toggle, thank you <3

Developer(+1)

Thank you kindly! Papers Please is one of the inspirations; the tasks themselves are pretty simple, but trying to keep track of everything at once gets challenging.

I know some people really don't like chewing sounds, so I figured I'd better include a toggle. I'm glad you found it helpful.
