Description
Genre is orchestral/ambiant. I tried to create something like a Journey type of game vibe. Most of my musical mechanics was to create some kind of atmosphere like the forest is alive and have something dark in it and the goal was to save the forest from it. DAW I used was Nuendo and Reaper.

Theme:

Picture theme

How does it fit the theme?
Hero searching his way how to heal the forest. Thats how I imagined briefly with the picture in mind.

Love the beat in Green Voyage! I can really visualise what you say. Crumbling bridges feels like a film score, wow!

Developer

Thank you, yes indeed I got inspired a bit by some cinematic tracks !

Oh wow. I'm glad I decided to listen to a few more tracks today. This is beautiful! The rainstick in Trials and Crumbling Bridges, the crunchy hits in Green Voyage, and the static in Gifts are the icing on the cake that I think really take this gorgeous soundtrack to the next level. The harmonies you chose for Trials are really evocative. And the melodies too! Beautiful phrasing for the woodwinds. It all blends together so nicely too. Thanks for sharing this I really enjoyed it!

Developer

Oh thank you, what a nice and sweet comment !

Yeah this is one of my favorites, really great mixing, I really liked the piano on 'Gifts' not much else I can say that hasn't been said before, great job!

Developer(+1)

Thank you ! Glad you noticed the mix, it took a moment and still not satisfied but that's the life of everybody else hehe !

I think you describe the visual you envision with the instruments you use very well. Very clean music. I love simple and meaningful musics. The 3rd track, reflects the mystery and excitement very well. You have a good work.

Developer

Thank you very much !

Ah, truly amazing, the textures, the pads and the melodies. Green Voyage gives huge Risk of Rain feels.

Developer

Oh interesting I have never listened to Risk of Rain, I'm gonna look at it ASAP, thanks !

Oh, I loved how big everything sounded, your use of space is amazing. The shift in vibe but making it sound cohesive between Green Voyage and into Crumbling Bridges was great! Really loved the piano composition in Gifts as well, so great!

Developer

Thank you !!!

I liked your choice of instruments as they really set the scene for the tracks. The tracks are relatively sparse (which helps in not being too busy or complicated) which lends them a sense of ease and calm. Good job.

Developer

Thank you, great comment !

Really nice ambience. I love Green Voyage especially. Great sense of panic in Crumbling Bridges, together with a very menacing theme.  Well polished too with the sound effects in between. What orchestral library did you use? Sounds very professional. Thanks for sharing!

Developer

Strings I used LA Scoring Strings, Brass : CineBrass, Woodwinds, CineWinds Percussions mixed with Damage 2 and CinePerc and a bit of Omnisphere , thats for the orchestral part. Thanks for your comment really appreciate it !

Very nice! I love how different each piece is, without sounding like they're from different games. I really like Gifts especially. It reminds me a bit of Hollow Knight, it's just so thoughtful and quiet. Lovely soundtrack!

Developer

Thank you ! nice compliment to be compared to Hollow Knight !

Love the vibe here. Really detailed work, and I really liked the chilled-out mood of Green Voyage.

there’s also a touch of early Danny Elfman in the choral bits in Crumbling Bridges, which I really appreciate.

Developer

Oh yaaa I didn't even notice I did some Danny Elfman vibe you're right indeed, thank you !

I really like the variance in your sound choices and the different stages and thoughts it bears to mind.

The stages works well with the theme runaway as I feel , we get different paces of running ( jogging, walking and maybe even the occastional sprint).

Favorite out of the four is Trails and Crumbling Bridges

Developer

Thank you, I didn't think at all about jogging walking or running, interesting aspect you got !

IT was something I picked up when I was visualizing the track. Thinking how it made me move and I realize some contained more speed than others. Plus the tempo and sounds, really made me feel like I have in an RPG or even fantasy ( even an alley) and can sense something coming at different angles

Very nice series of pieces! I love the variety of vibes you created in the album. Each has a compelling view. This is definitely one of the most well-made albums I’ve reviewed.

Developer

Oh that is very sweet, glad you liked it, thank you very much !

Great work, I particularly loved Crumbling Bridges as I could definitely picture that scene while listening. Trials is really good too!

Developer

Thank you !!!

Wow Green Voyage is beautiful, could play that on Sunday late afternoons. Bassline and all little sounds very nicely mixed, great balance! I'd also be curious what kind of joyful/upbeat song you'd make.

Developer

Thank you ! I'm actually really bad at making joyful songs for some reason, maybe I should try and go out of my comfort zone !

Submitted

Beautifully composed! Crumbling Bridges used a dark chord progression I really like. The bassline in Green Voyage is so pleasant.

Developer

Thank you ! yes Crumbling Bridges is actually my least favorite, I only used 2 chords, but I guess it works out !

Very nice atmosphere and synths/pads :)

Thank you for taking the time to listen :)

Really cool mix of orchestral and electronic elements. It’s a really cool vibe, great job!

Developer

Thank you !

I love how epic it sounds and in a refined manner! Very pleasing and present basses contributing to the 'darkness' of the forest, and the balance between acoustic instruments and synths are just graceful. I especially like how you manage to end each track refreshingly!

My favorite track is Trials, I find it conserves an organic character by the fluidity between different elements in spite of a heavy presence of electronic layers.

Great job!

Developer

oh thank you that is a pretty nice comment I actually didn't think of the organic elements in my track XD

Submitted

Honestly really great job! The mix of orchestral elements with the overall electronic tone was absolutely nailed. It's actually something I wanted to do for my entry to some extent, but didn't quite get it where I wanted to. The oboes and winds in general where beautifully mixed in the soundscape.

I would say that I felt a bit frustrated by "Trials" as it seemed it was going towards something very interesting near the end but didn't follow through. It could have gone anywhere from that Eb at the end, and I would have loved to see the soundscape get developed a bit more on this one.

All in all, this was a blast to listen through and I'm definitely going to listen to it again. Great job! 👏

Developer(+1)

Thank you, yes well I thought about going somewhere else than I had to work on the other tracks and i decided to let it stay in a suspension like that, sorry :(

Don't worry it's more nitpicking than anything else 😄 This is a great soundtrack really!
