Very cool game!
Thanks swatt3r - appreciate the feedback!
This is really impressive for the time limit and was really fun to play! Good job
Thanks Jellydigger! I appreciate the feedback 😀
Certainly played this much longer than I originally expected to. Very fun, smooth gameplay. Well done!
Thanks uu-kk! Pleased to hear you enjoyed it, and appreciate the feedback. How many daemon did you find, and did you earn your ticket home? 😀
The game hooked me up quite quickly, and I enjoyed exploring the cave! Also very nice graphics, did you use some shaders for the CRT effect?
Hi MaGetzUb, thanks for the feedback - appreciated, and I’m glad you enjoyed the game. Yes - I built a custom renderer for the PGE that does dynamic lighting (normal mapping) plus a final shader to do the CRT effect. I put together a demo for Dragoneye on Discord; I’ll tag you to the post in case you are interested in checking it out. T
Very polished, very flashy, excellent game.
Thanks Alienturnedhuman - appreciate the feedback! 😀
This is soooo cool, I love it, execellent work, brilliant idea, well dobe very impressive
Thanks Johnny - glad you enjoyed it! T

This is an amazing game! I loved how your deamon gets stuck under a platform sometimes and if it does, you can't move after a certain distance. Amazing attention to detail
Thanks UnawarelTry - appreciate the feedback! I spent a lot of time on the character and the movement of the Daemons, so really pleased to here you enjoyed how they turned out :)
By the way, you don’t need to go back to get the Daemon, as it will just move through the wall if you go far enough (ie, to stop it getting stuck) :)
I don't know how to replicate this, but it was stuck at a corner mid-jump and couldn't get out until I moved back a bit.
When an enemy gets behind me, and I want to turn around to shoot it. Well, the camera bias takes a bit of time to move back over. Super cool. Haven't quite gotten the ticket home yet. But I imagine I'll try again soon.
Thanks! Yes, agreed that the left/right movement in the scroll margins needs some tuning. Good luck getting that ticket 🙂
Loved to look at it, sucked playing it, the variable player speed was hard to get used to it, most of the time felt like I was ice skating, and jumping makes the shooting "jump" as well, but fun game, good work
Hey, thanks for the feedback. Sounds like the character controller would benefit from some more tweaking! Perhaps if I slightly increase acceleration when starting, and when changing direction?
On the projectiles, this one is trickier. Their initial velocity is currently set relative to the player’s motion - otherwise, with the speed of the game, there are situations when you would be able to “overtake” your bullets which didn’t feel right. By extension, when you jump then shoot, the bullet has a higher vertical speed than if you stand and shoot. Is this what you experienced? Assuming it is, would need to consider best approach. Perhaps a possible option is to pass only the horizontal, and not (or only part of) the vertical. What do you think?
The acceleration is fine I think, tweaking the deceleration should diminish the sliding
On the projectiles, don't know if it is intended and i couldn't reproduce a 100% of the time, but when jumping the projectile doesn't go in the direction of the crosshair, it goes above it
Thanks again for the feedback. I've updated the controls to make the runner extra snappy .. hopefully that feels better to you. Let me know what you think :)
I tried playing around with the shooting "jump" as well, but every approach seemed to have downsides .. so I'll give that some more proper thought post jam. I think it will be helped once I have put in controller support to.
Very fun and addictive game. :)
Thanks Dragoneye!
Love the concept. I sucked at it but it was still fun to play it!
Hey, Moros. Thanks for the feedback! Any suggestions on how to balance it to make it easier? How far did you get - how many daemons did you find, and did you find the rocket boots? 😀
i just generally suck at keyboard and mouse platformers.. it's a me thing..
I’ll look to add controller support after the jam! There are definitely some other tweaks needed too to the player controller and difficulty curve .. the result of me playtesting my own game 😀
Hey Moros, just to say I've updated the controls to make the runner extra snappy .. I've had a couple of suggestions on this, so felt like a good thing to tweak. Let me know what you think if you have another go at some point :)
Was casually strolling through the game when suddenly, a worm decided to pull a ninja move and wiped itself out of the ground right in front of me to give me a hearth attack. 10/10
:) thanks for the feeback! Glad you enjoyed the game
