This is very interesting concept well done, :) Excellent work

Hey, this is an interesting take on the theme. What sort of liquid simulation are you using? Also, I see from your comments below that you are thinking how to add more mechanics etc .. I think that would be good. I like the water effects :)

Developer

Thanks for the feedback. The mechanics are all coded from scratch. I had hoped to introduce the notion of 'directed gravity' where you could control the liquid flow in a way other than uniform and exclusively elevation-based.

I hope this was easy to code, otherwise bless you for trying to simulate liquid. I sort of get the idea what you were going for theme wise, and I'm assuming it's more a program demo than an actual game. Considering this, I think this was good, I was hoping to see liquid in a larger resolution, but efforts are still the same. Good job

You are correct - it was more focused on the mechanics and demonstration of that then the resulting gameplay. I wasn't able to get far enough to add 'game' features - oh, well.

Thanks for the feedback

I don’t think i quite understood the game-idea here. Is there any reason not to put the mous at the very edge of the board and wait for the percentage bar to reach 0%?

I could not figure out any advantage of first adding some liquid somewhere else, even challenging mode would just mean you need to find the single spot that just so happens to create the fastest way to the edge, i did not look to me like there was a way to figure that out by logic, just trying what looks est.

Did you maybe intend to introduce a mechanic, where you first have to use some water to activate a lever for example, and only after you did so you can start pouring your water to the edge? I think something along those lines is missing.

The scoring bonus is applied when you have more than a single stream of runoff. So, if you found a location that eventually flowed to 3 exits after, say, 60% of your liquid poured out you would achieve a much higher score than if you simply found the low point on the edge of the board. I suppose that could have been more explicit in some way.

As for logic and dynamic features a game might include I just never made it far enough for those additions.
