I like the concept of controlling 2 slimes (Top down and platformer), My only concern was the spike collision box was too big or the player hurt box was too big, it felt unfair sometimes, but Overall very good job!.

Developer (1 edit)

Sorry for that. I'll work on this game, probably to a full release, so feel free to follow me on Itch!

Thanks for playing!

I hope this game wins the 1st spot. Congrats!

Developer

It can be hard! I'll probably expand this game to a full release (if I do I'll post about it!)

Thanks for playing!

This was AMAZING and I want more. Some of the levels had some nice shortcuts which idk if was intended lol. I loved having to figure out which side to complete first to finish the levels.

I had to play it multiple times to complete the levels properly. I encountered a bug where if I completed one side and then died on the opposite side, it would finish the level.

Developer

Glad you liked it! I'll probably continue to develop this game and if I do I'll post a link to a devlog on Itch!

Stay tuned!

Really interesting game idea ! I totally enjoyed it !

I've got a music bug, kinda like 2 loops where playing at the same time.

Great game overall ! Congrats !

Developer(+1)

Yeah, people reported this bug. Seems like sometimes you get it and sometimes music is clean. Thanks for playing!

Really interesting game, love the art. Good job man!

Developer

Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it!

Hi there - really enjoyed! Played through whole thing and put Johnny back together!
My feedback would be :
- I was able to skip most of the last level by falling to the final platform. I think perfecting the levels for difficulty curve and clever puzzle solving will take a while and a lot of thinking. Hope you do make more!
- The colour of Johnny's legs and the toxic waste are quite similar, could they have the same qualities as the spikes?
- It would be fun to add in a timer or way to show the player beat the level in the fastest way - as it feels like a game where you can replay to solve in different quicker ways
Hope you have time to rate and give feedback for our game, Maizegunner! Thanks

Developer(+1)

turboturtoise, this is the kind of feedback that I'm looking for!!! I'm going to check out your game now.

1.Levels I really wish I could've spent more time on level design, but it was my first jam (and a full game) so there were a lot of new things to learn.

2.Colors I even thought about that during development, but decided to stay with the green color for more factory/test site kinda look. Also red puddles looked like blood and I thought it will weird from player's perspective to die from blood :)

3.Timer Easy to add in the future.

I will definitely expand on this game to  a full release, maybe I'll setup a devlog on Itch (If I do I'll post about it on the jam's forum). Also I wanted to thank you guys for all the kind comments - they really mean a lot to me :)

Very cool and fun! It started out pretty hard, but I managed to get the hang of the mechanics, and I totally enjoyed it!

(btw love to see that "29 seconds before the deadline" XD)

Developer (1 edit)

Yeah, I get a lot of comments about the difficulty curve. I wish I've had more time for smoothing the curve, but it's my first jam so time management was hard.

Thanks for playing!

It's a very good result for a first jam! O.o

Very good job!

Developer

I'm also very happy about how it turned out! I consider to expand on this game, let me know what you think about it!

Hi! A great game, really ! I really enjoyed it. Hard to master, but really good. The idea is cool! It's hard to playe on both screen, but it's a really good job!

Developer

I'm very happy to see that you enjoyed the game! A lot of people say that it's hard but it seems they still like it!

Submitted(+1)

Awesome! I got a very complete feeling from this game. Finished it. :) Good job!

Developer

Glad you liked it!

This is great! I loved the puzzles even though I am not that much into puzzle games. I had a bug with the music overlapping when you are dieing to often in a short period of time. But nonetheless a great game!

Developer

Thanks for reporting the bug!

Good take on the theme. Interesting puzzles, intuitive to pick up which is good because it could have been tricky to confer to the user.

Submitted(+1)

I REALLY liked the mix. Awesome take on the theme.

The graphics so cool. Good Job!

Developer(+1)

Thanks! Your comments really mean a lot to me! It is also my first jam and I'm very impressed how great community we have here!

Really cool puzzles in the game, controlling 2 different parts at 2 different perfectives it pretty fun. Also I uploaded the play through of your game on my channel, check it out.

Cool game, I like your pixel art. The gameplay is good except for the jump. As noted, the jump actually occurs when you press button W. But this is a small little thing that can be fixed, the main thing is that everything works correctly. Well I liked it.

Please check my game as well ;)

Developer (1 edit)

Thanks for the feedback! Could you explain why jumping on W isn't OK? Johnny is controlled using WSAD keys so it seems natural to have jump assigned on W.

I'll try your game soon:)

Hey!

That's a clever idea, reminded me of one game for GBA but that's the first time I see combing the same controls for different camera views. Really enjoyed the puzzle approach, I was thinking hard on some levels tho but feels good to complete them. That's such a simple and yet affective idea to combine two game genres, really cool! I also liked how levels are getting harder each time without sudden picks of difficulty

Developer(+1)

I really appreciate your feedback! I'm very happy to see that you liked the game and even though I felt like I could have done more interesting levels. I'm definitely going to expand this game to a full release, so let me know if your interested!

Submitted(+1)

really cool idea and fun levels, great job!

Developer

Really glad you enjoyed my game!

Submitted(+1)

Oh man i really loved this game:D.The idea is simple but executions is great.I cant believe that you made this game in 48 hours. There is a bug that when player dies if death particles reaches the goal you clear the level anyway.Overall great work :D

Developer (1 edit)

Thanks! Trust me it is really made in 48 hours (I've made music for the game before)! Wish I've had more time to make more interesting levels. I'm also planning to expand this game to a full release, let me know what you think about it! And thanks for finding the bug !

Submitted(+1)

This is such a cool idea! I don't know how you managed to get it done in the amount of time!

Developer(+1)

Thanks! I was just getting up early ;)

Submitted(+1)

I liked the Pixel-Art of this game. Good game : D

Developer(+1)

I'm glad you liked it! I'm definitely going to expand this game a bit in the future.

Submitted (1 edit) (+1)

Its a very cool idea. All the things you do have consequences in another world.

There is one bug I think. The up arrow doesnt make you jump, just the W key.

And it sounds like the music is overlapping. But this two things arent big problems. Good job :)

Developer(+1)

Thanks a LOT for your comment! I'm very happy to see you enjoyed the game(did you?). But I have a question:  can I fix those bugs and update the game or is it against the rules? (It's my first jam)

Submitted(+1)

I did enjoy your game :)

You're not allowed to fix the bugs during the voting period, but you can fix it after it (I think in 1 Week).

Good luck at your first Jam :)

Developer

Ok, great. I'll work on an update.
