I see you also used "Birds_singing_03.wav" : )
Nice job
I like the concept, the presentation is nice, the graphics are unique. I agree with the feedback given before. And I'll give it a take at it: I understand that "Gathering speed in the beginning of a level is one of the most important things to keep your speed up." If it is one of the most important things, then explain it to us inside of the game. The tutorial is a bit too minimal, it took me a while to figure out that I had to accumulate speed. Other than that, good job :)
(TLDR: the answer to the comment under me should be INSIDE the game as a tutorial :D )
Yeah it's not crucial to play but it makes getting speed a bit easier. I'll explain it in the game after the voting ends if i remember
I love the concept, the art is really really could, but you absolutely need to ease the difficulty curve. I nearly stopped playing in the first level because I could barely go past the window (my bird would stop moving for seemingly no reason). When I finally got past it, I discovered levels that are way too hard x)
One addition that could help is to display a little arrow next to the bird to show the direction to the cursor.
That said, It might be the game I rated the highest, I really love it!
Thanks, glad you liked it. Gathering speed in the beginning of a level is pretty important to keep your speed up. Like i said to someone else, you get a small boost at the start of the level so to get the most speed you can, go upwards with that and then keep your cursor lower than the player as much as possible. There might also be a bug with different screen sizes and getting the cursor position wrong, if your bird looks the wrong way then that might be what's causing it, but i have no idea if it exists.
As for the arrow thing, the bird already points exactly where the cursor is
Thanks for the comment and rating!
The concept and presentation were both top notch, loved that art style. I also think the game mechanics were very thoughtful. The levels were designed well around the objectives and limitations.
In my experience, the controls did not feel so reliable, so it often made the game feel frustrating. In particular, it seemed like I would die for no reason or I would stall out when going very fast. I think if the controls felt smoother I would have enjoyed the game a lot more.
Great job nonetheless!
Really cool concept! Game mechanics are awesome
Cool game :) Liked it a lot, good job
Best game on this jam yet. Absolutely love it. But i had some bug where i couldn't fly but that's okay. Maybe add some music and win screen. Still great job brothers! :)
I like the art and audio, it's a bit hard to control but very fun once you've built enough momentum.
Good job!
Very attractive in appearance. Gives off a sweet, gentle vibe. Sound design subtlebut effective.
Unfortunately, I could never build up momentum to get the bird really moving. The bird would always run out of steam and then get caught. I tried both the browser version (in full screen) and the Windows version.
That could be a bug but the bird should gain speed as long as it's pointing down (the cursor is below it). At the start of each level you get a little speed boost, so use that to go upwards then glide into the house
Well made, and nice visuals.
Love the artstyle! Cozy game, great job
Amazing looking game - had some issues trying to play it in the browser but was really fun and interesting movement mechanic. Amazing level of polish - only slight thing I foudn was if you runout of time the audio glitches (but thats minor)
Looks very cute and polished. Playing in browser I wasn't able to get past the first level though. The bird would get caught seemingly randomly, sometimes before entering the house, even if the mouse cursor was on the other side of the screen :(
Also it may be better to change the browser setting to open in full screen, rather than provide an optional full screen button. Since the viewport window isn't scaled down for the embedded version, a lot of the screen gets cut off.
Thanks, i noticed the screen problem earlier but i didn't know launching the game in full screen was an option, thanks for the tip. Edit: unfortunately the buttons didn't work as expected when i did this so i had to change it back
Did you try the downloadable version? I tested the game on different devices and they seemed to run fine so i'm not sure what the problem could be for the bird's stopping
Yeah, you can edit the game page, there is checkbox to launch in full screen when the user presses play. Haven't tried the download yet.
I cannot run the game in my browser 😣 The game launch, and then nothing happens when I click the Start Arrow. Is that normal? 😔
It might have something to do with what browser you're using, though itch should fix those problems so i'm not sure. Try waiting like 10 seconds, if that doesn't work then you can also download the game. Some of the particle effects aren't visible in the web version anyway so you'll also get a bit more polish by downloading it.
I downloaded it 👍 Very well polished! Moving the birds around is super fun, but the game is hard as hell (or maybe I'm bad 🧐). I love how you can break everything in the houses 🤯

Nice, unique concept
Oh my gosh, this is incredible! It's impressive how much polish you were able to get done! The art style is cute and charming and it's actually pretty similar to my game. Very impressed, you should be proud of this. I'm a sucker for cuteness.
