Use of the limitation
The city is randomly generated on each playthrough and there aren't any respawns. Some of the dialogue is randomized. We wanted to make random upgrades but we did not have time.

Thanks for the feedback! I checked out the stream, and the criticism was fair.
The steering wasn't originally meant to be the main challenge of the game and we were planning to implement police cars and other stuff that you would have to avoid, as well as some item pickups that would give the player greater control of the car. At the end we couldn't get those in due to time restraints and the development being a bit of a mess, which also caused some other problems with the game, such as the inconsistent art.
Regardless, the game jam was pretty fun and thank you for playing the game on stream!

Dumb fun. Good work!
It's so stupid! But I actually really enjoyed it! Great job, I love the music, the original usage of rogue like genre. My only rebuke is that actually there were a few moments when I just couldn't find a single person.
The personality of this game is great. Love how unabashed it is. Always love carmageddon-ey games. Though I felt like the handling could have been a little better. The presentation was nice but it was a little difficult to tell how far a building was from my car which was my prime gripe. Still, it's a nice little game
I always knew this would happen! Those dang automaton car whatchits. This was pretty dang good! I really felt the gameplay was challenging enough to force effort, but easy enough for it to be enjoyable. I liked the nostalgic feel as well. I noticed that some NPCs would sometimes clump together and not move...I passed a group of 4-5 and then doubled back to shwack them. Was it a bonus? Perhaps. My blood-thirsty car brain leads me to believe so.
I really like the stereotypical 80s vibe the music gives off
The art on the other hand feels a bit jarring overall, like nothing really fits together.
The actuall gameplay is a mixed bag: The act of hitting pedestriants feels wheighty. The controls of the car feel weird; I never really feel in control
Overall alright
Thanks for the feedback! You are right about the art, the development of this was a bit of a mess, so some of the art ended up being made by me last minute. I also designed the car steering with intent of it sort of feeling like trying to ride a wild animal, but judging from this and other comments, I definitely could have executed that better. Glad you enjoyed the game! (or at least some of it)
It’s like a pocket carmaggedon haha! That’s alway fun. The controls feel a bit hard, but it adds some difficulty.
