Use of the limitation
The kaiju's movement is lethal to humans. The game is all about using a simulation to deal with that problem.

Cool art style and concept. I was so proud when I managed to not kill anyone that I made a screenshot.

Developer

Congratulations! That's awesome! It makes us happy to know that you enjoyed our game!

ugh fuck i destroyed both the schools. i’m going to kaiju hell for sure.

Developer

Don't worry, those were only simulations of schools! :)

Thanks for playing!

Its a simple, funny game with great visuals and a creative use of both the theme and limitations! Great work!

Developer

Thanks very much! We try to keep our jam games simple and fun, and we came up with the idea after we found out about the limitation, so that we could make sure it fit well.

Great concept from limitations with funny illustrations,
I do like little games with humor!
Besides, I would like smoother control (less inertia),
control now feels like hard rigidbody without a drag.
Developer(+1)

Thanks! We tried hard to make it funny, so we're glad that came through!

Wow! This game was really good!

I really like the concept, and the execution of this concept. The art really fit the style of game.

The controlls felt as if they had a little bit of delay, which felt a little bit weird, but I suppose that's also part of being a big "monster".

Well done!

Developer

Thanks very much!

The controls did feel a little better in Unity, but once it was built for WebGL it felt a little more sluggish. The game jam time limit didn't really give us enough time to figure out how to fix that unfortunately. Each jam is a learning experience, and this was our first platformer, so we'll keep this in mind for the next one.

I love the art and the happy theme!  The gameplay was a little simple once I understood it, but it was well designed and very playable.  Here is a video of me playing:

Developer

Thanks so much for posting that video! We really enjoyed watching you play!

Great game! I can’t think of anything that could be improved and I love the concept & the art, truly amazing! Congrats!! And sorry for the little humans I stomped on, it seems like I’m not a very friendly kaiju :(

Developer (1 edit)

Thanks for the incredibly kind, positive feedback! I don't blame you for stepping on the little humans; we tried to make it satisfying to squish them. (Maybe there's something wrong with us...)

By the way, I really like your company name!

So that’s why it did not feel so wrong to be bad at this game!

And thanks too :)

The art style of this game is really cool, and the gameplay was really enjoyable

Developer

Aww, thank you for playing and for your kind words!

A very creative idea with a great artstyle. It was very fun to play and satisfying to step on people. Good job.

Developer

Thanks so much for your kind feedback! We weren't sure if the crowd screaming and the blood splatters were too much, so it's good to hear that it was satisfying to step on the people. :)

I really loved the art style, I think it fits the idea perfectly. I am sorry I stepped on so many humans :<

Developer(+1)

Wow, thank you! We had a lot of fun making the art, but to tell you the truth, the "Artist Crayon" brush in Procreate did the heavy lifting. :D

Very creative idea!!!! The game looks so awesome! We loved it!

Developer

Thanks so much! We just recently got into making games, and it means a lot when people enjoy them. :)

very funny game, easy to get  into it. great work.

Developer

Thanks so much! We're glad the humor came through!

Submitted

Hah- that was a lot of fun, really well presented.

(Although, once I realised how fun it was to kill people, I didn’t turn back…)

Developer

Thanks so much for playing and your kind words!

it's fun to destroy houses and buildings, and I like aesthetics!

Developer(+1)

Thanks! While making the art, we imagined a little kid kaiju drawing with a crayon. Glad you liked it!

Submitted

When I play I feel like the god of mindless destruction, it's epic

Submitted

Okay, one of the most fun games so far!

Developer

Glad you liked it, we had fun making it!

Am I a bad person for trying to max the death count instead? Great game!

Developer(+1)

I guess I'm a bad person too because I enjoyed that way also! We tried to make a high death count satisfying as well, so you can play whichever way you want.

perfect score babyyyyyyyy. I like that in this game your movement is lethal to others rather than the player. Wholesome in a weird way. Well done :>

Developer(+1)

Very impressive! It's tough to get a perfect score, even for us! You're truly a benevolent kaiju!

Thanks so much for playing our game! :)

Submitted(+1)

My favorite use of "movement is lethal" yet :D

Developer

Thanks! We tried hard to incorporate the limitation.
