A solid entry! Really nails the "become more powerful after you die" approach to the limitation.

Nice backgrounds, also.

Note that when you go into fullscreen mode, some of the HUD elements (such as your hull health) are no longer readable. You should probably review how you are anchoring these elements to the canvas.

Also, I believe the sound effects were too loud, compared to the volume of the music.

all valid points, but i didnt want to take anymore time away from my main project so i just left it.

Great job for such a short time working on it! Like I told you before, I'm a sucker for retro space shooters so I instantly took to this one. I actually really like the style you went for, so big points for that. It's obviously nothing too original, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. I look forward to seeing more from you! :)

thanks man!!

Impressive, especially for just one day! I thought the cost of the upgrades was especially well balanced, that's tough to get right. Great sound effects too!

Developer

thank you, i played around with the costs abit. well not the costs but how much credits you earn.

Art looks really cool, but maybe you should add some screen shake.

Developer

yes thats a good idea, i only had 1 day todo it due to xmas so sorry for the jankiness! hope you still enjoyed.

I liked playing the game and getting used to the controls and the enemies. Keeping score to upgrade the ship was in sense of the limitation. I am not sure if the upgrade really had an impact on the game, but anyway the ship looked at boosted anyways afterwards. At some point I could not open any more levels, it was immediate “GameOver”, maybe a bug or maybe I reached the highest level of upgrading.

Developer

the impacts were very minimal thats a good point, i could increase the upgrade effectiveness. Yes its a buggy mess i tried hard to fix alot but i made it in one day due to xmas i joined on sunday, so it was very rushed not my proudest work lol.

Oh wow a space shooter not really following a theme nor limitation, what a well of creativity you got there!

What on Earth is your issue, leaving comments like this? That's so sad.

Amazing that you could make a game like that in 3 days with unity. Just a thought-try to add screenshots and a short description to your game.

Developer

I made it in 1 day, sunday as i started late due to christmas. Its missing alot but I think it turned out well enough. thank you for playing!

I love games that give players the ability to customize ships, without overwhelming them. I think you struck a good balance here. Space shooters are always a good backdrop for something like that too. Nicely done!

Developer(+1)

Thanks! I was worried that players wouldnt play long enough to get buy upgrades or new ships, so this comment is appreciated. I look forward to playing your game!
