I really enjoyed the puzzles linked to countdowns! The music and sound effects are in a great place right now, too. The art style works. Some puzzles were impossible for me to solve with the time limits, though. Potentially making the runes brighter, making the rune movement either more forgiving in where the player lands on the spot or making it click-click rather than click-drag-release could all help the puzzles not feel so hard. And maybe harder puzzles give you two energy instances. Overall, well done!

Developer

I'll need to tweak how the pieces land on their respective slots for sure as I watched some of my family struggle with that, especially with the harder puzzles. In future iterations I'd like to have more variety, puzzles definitely reached their level of repetitiveness quick even on one level. Thank you for the feedback though, and I'm glad you enjoyed whats there! Thanks for playing!

Good game and nice idea. I like that you have a customization for the character. A little suggestion might be to make the runes a bit brighter, I have a pretty bad eye sight so it is hard for me to distinguish them.

Developer(+1)

I agree, the runes were a bit too faded. I'll make that adjustment after the voting is over. Glad you liked it though! Thank you for playing!

Loved the Characters walk animation! I the overall look was great the fil grain effect worked very well and the puzzles were very enjoyable, I first thought they were easy but then the tile variations came lol. wish the hitboxes for placing the tiles was abit bigger apart from that Loved It! 5 star Enjoyment! Edit: the witty dialog was also a very nice touch "Come back empty handed huh?" lol

Developer

I've been playing with other post-processing effects offline since I've submitted it. I wanted the look to mimic a security camera of sorts, just completely forgot to add a few things to it. I'm pretty happy with how it turned out, got to play with a few new systems and whatnot. Glad you liked it though. Thanks for playing!

great game, i think the puzzle is a great idea because i usually find it  boring when you only need to kill enemies. the thunder too

Developer

I had hoped to vary it up from other games I've made in the past, less combat. Thanks for playing!

Really  fun and interesting.

Thanks!

Clever use of the limitation. The theme is strong: I got Portal vibes and wanted to know more about the backstory.

The game is fun to play, although the puzzles get a bit repetitive after a while (and at least one of them was *very* difficult for me...). More uses for the lightning would also have been fun.

I mentioned it to someone else, but I think I should've adjusted the "punishment" amount for the challenge difficulty (2 strikes for hard vs 4 for easy before you can use it). I'd like to have other challenges at some point too. Glad you enjoyed it though! Thank you for playing!

I like those time limited puzzles. The idea of getting charged by electricity in a lab is great and being able to use it against the hurdles fits absolutely the limitation, loosing is great in this game. Background story is also great, I would like to see a real ending, like he’s going in the outside world or something like this. I am excited for part 2.

Developer

The ending did get thrown together in a rush towards the deadline. I guess I didn't really explicitly say it, but his fate is to remain a lab rat as far as the jam goes. I would like to expand on it though, as you say, have him bust out of his cage. Would probably need to think of different challenges  if that were the case! Thanks for playing and the feedback!

Wow, this is great! It reminded me of SCP for some reason. Great game!

Developer

I don't think I've played that one, but I may have to check it out. Thanks for playing!

It's not a game, but a whole universe with different phenomens classified as SCP-*** and have numbers, but there're some games about this universe, for example, the most famous is SCP: Containment Breach. It's also about test subject escaping a facility, but there are plenty of dangerous SCP's in there

Wow realllly cool art and soundtrack. The gameplay is a cool idea however I wanted to kill my self at the tenth gate :)

Developer

Haha, excellent feedback on the 10th gate. Thank you for that. I probably could've made the energy charge level up faster for failing the harder challenges. Thanks for playing!

cool graphics, and I also liked that you managed to do the character customization. The game is good, I didn't immediately understand how to put these icons because I'm stupid ;D

Developer

Hah no worries, I watched my nephews stare at it right off the bat too...so I guess I could've explained it better. Thanks for playing!
