Incredible. Very good looking and SO polished!

At first I thought the falling items were slow but the idea of having just one, rechargeable, heart balanced the whole thing pretty well :)

Thank you!! Glad you enjoyed :D

Wow. The game looks, sounds, and feels great. I especially like the slight 'wobble' to the shopping cart as you move it around the field, and the slow down of the music and animations when you get a game over is a nice touch! great game!

Developer

Thanks a bunch! I spent way too long making the wobble lol

Definitely the most polished entry I’ve seen so far. Goes to show how much you can polish a low-scope game. I especially loved the shopping cart bounce when it changes direction—I often quickly tapped A and D for maximum satisfaction. I also really like the health regeneration—it feels much more forgiving than most other falling-objects games where you have a set number of lives.

I think I would have appreciated a twist or extra mechanic or something—it feels like I’ve played this game before I played it. But perhaps that’s just the game designer in me speaking out.

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! Yeah, tbh I spent a long time messing around making A and D spamming feel fun haha. I was going to add usable powerups but didn’t have enough time to implement them fully.. You might have played some really similar stuff before since I chose a really generic game on purpose to focus on polish

A simple concept, but very well done. Polish, visuals, feel, audio, everything is here, good job! Would need some checks for some “impossible” situations.

Developer

Thanks for playing! I wondered when someone would mention the unfair impossible situations, lol. Sorry about that. I didn’t think it would be realistic for a jam to think up a good system to prevent those, but it’s definitely possible

Clean, clear and simple. Good work.

Developer

Thanks :D

Great game! The controls are really well balanced, the art is soo cute, and the movement is on point! Loved the soundtrack and the small SFX. Got to 9700 before I was too slow to get two items falling at the same time.

Got a score of 5000!

Simple and juicy. From the animations, to the sound effects, this game is small but polished.

Developer

Thanks!! Nice score :)

Simple but enjoyable idea! The sprite art is cute and fluid, and you picked a good song to match the vibe. I had a fun time!

Developer

Thanks for playing!

Is this the best game of the jam?

It's incredible, so much fun and very polished, I think jam games should be like this, super simple and with lots of __JUICE__

Excelent job! and congrats ❤✨

Developer(+1)

Thanks so much! To be honest I wanted to add more (powerups, …) but chose to stay safe and just polish it. Haven’t gotten around to trying your game yet since I’m on linux but I’ll play it on windows soon!

Submitted(+1)

That's the jam spirit, stick to the safe and polishing

Sorry that my game is Windows Only, I tried to make it playable on browser but I didn't have time

Great art, animation, music! Impossibly good for a single person game!

Developer (1 edit)

Thanks, that means a lot :)
