Great work! i quiet enjoyed that little game! i would have liked to see a "score" at the end though to see how good i did, but overall. good work!

This is sooooo juicy for a pico8 jam game!  It gets especially fun at wave 10+ when you can just start spamming the dash

Great game! It was really fun to play. Visually it's pretty cool, especially the effect of the sword strike. The concept and presentation is amazing, very impressive for one day! Nice work!

Great job! The game feels really good to play! Missed some SFX but for one day that is great!

Wow good job here! The aesthetic is so cool. Good work especially making this in a single day. Pico-8 is no joke to work with so  nice!

This is one of my favorites of the jam so far, and I was so shocked when I found out it was done in a single day! The sound and visual effects are great. Amazing stuff!

First of all: I love that you used and introduced me to Pico 8.
And the game you created with this is just fantastic. Thanks for creating it.
Great art, cool music and cool concept. I like.

Nice game (and made in one day I'm impressed) ! I wonder how you did this sword movement effect, which is very cool ! I think that the game is first too easy, and then too messy (with the auto lock attack), but this is one of the limitation of the PICO-8, you easily run out of pixels

Hi! Thanks for playing. I wanted to vary up the combat with more types of enemies, but in the end I settled for more enemies for time constraint. The sword effect is nothing more than storing some points every frame and drawing lines between them! You can see the code from the p8.png pico8 source file!

Really liked the concept! So satisfying attacking the enemies! Done in one day, amazing!

This is SUCH a cool game, so much cooler than I could do!

The slice is just so fun to play around with and the juice is fun to play with. The enemies are really cool, and their art is awesome! The underwater wave effect is really cool, and its cooled down enough to see the gameplay. The combo system is AWESOME, and its fun to mess around with trying to get combos. You went above and beyond, and set my bar really high.

There are only a few problems. Losing HP while moving is a bit annoying, and showing the hiboxes with z, isn't too useful, I would replace it with a 2 HP charge up dash n' slice or an aimbot that uses 3 HP to start up. Another thing is that you don't get to retain your combo score from the last wave, since the combo end timer is too short, and the wave start timer is too long.

I absolutely LOVE this game, and I can feel like I'm in an arcade from the 90's (I was born 2000s, but whatever). Good luck!
