Great game! I feel there should either be more of a cooldown or energy cost on the dash though, as it made some aspects of the levels easy as you can just zoom past enemies dashing most of the time without actually having to fight much.

Great work! The visuals and music is absolutely fantastic, they tie together nicely. The gameplay is enjoyable, I liked the difficulty and how the dash was handled.  It does get repetitive at times, I think some variation would really help here, maybe more content in terms of weapon and power-ups?

I'm really impressed by the music and gameplay of this one. I do wish that the default gun had some sort of upside over the other two weapons. Maybe piercing damage? Nevertheless great game!

I liked this one! The art assets for the mecha were sweet and well utilized. I didn't play long enough to get to the third level primarily because I couldn't tell if it ran slow or the pace just wasn't quite there for me. the constant enemy respawns made the game fairly challenging as well. I would have loved a way to gain health back at least. Maybe randomly dropped instead of the constant energy canisters when defeating an enemy? Otherwise it also felt a bit like a slog even bothering with attacking them. If you could regain health when defeating them and you needed it then maybe it'd rally the player to fight more instead of solely trying to avoid enemies. . I think my biggest point of frustration, however, was getting stuck on walls and such after dashing. Died many times that way in frantic escape attempts, haha. The music as FlamingoSummer also said felt very reminiscent of almost Star Wars.  Good work!

Sorry for the late reply, but here is a walkthrough video for the game and I played it on web (I like the sound I didn't meant to mute it xd), If your fps is even lower than me try play with the windows version. Hope it helps!

Nice! Yeah then I think my feedback applies to the movement itself. I'd love it if all the characters moved a little faster and maybe the weapon damage was increased a little to balance with that. Either way, still really enjoyed this buddy!

Game play is very fun, love the bullet hell.  Very fun, gonna play more and try to beat it. I love the art style, very slick. The music is cool, reminds me of Star Wars! I kept getting stuck after dashing into a wall. lol. really like the red colors, feels like I'm in mars! Very good jobs friends!

I love iso game and it suits the esthetic very very well !

dash mechanic is very mecha like, and I quite liked the ammo managment.

any chance of a linux export as this seems to use godot?

the web export is quite glitchy on my machine, which plays great godot 3.5 webgl2 exports

Developer(+2)

The webGL version was an afterthought and honestly Godot 4.x has a lot of problems with web exports at the moment which hopefully is resolved by the next update. If I get around to cleaning and polishing the game up, I'll definitely be porting to more platforms.

in godot linux export is one click, please think about it, I would love to try this ^^

Fun game!

A cute game with a matching atmosphere, both models, lighting and music.
The isometric angle with a static camera collided with the controls a bit. You got the hang of it quite quickly, but a "Forward is forward" could have worked great as well. :)
Great entry!

Very tight controls and a nice extraction type of gameplay. I found stage 3 to be a bit too difficult for me since my main strategy was primarily to rush around and try to get to the switches as fast as possible while leaving the horde to itself, eventually ending in me being overwhelmed. That said, the energy and ammo management added nicely to the game's overall difficulty and lent an interesting dynamic between choosing to fight or flee. The visuals and sounds were great as well!

No matter how much time we get in these jams, I'll never find the time to properly balance these games! ;p

I like the game, the visuals are very cool. I couldn't get past stage 3 though.

Fun shooter game. Wasn't able to beat stage 3 because I kept getting outnumbered. Wish the Fullscreen button was checked, though I did zoom in on browser. Models were really nice looking.

Developer

Oh! I keep forgetting about that option. Thanks for reminding me and thanks for playing!

Rad isometric shooter with some great 3D models on display !

I particularilly liked the gundam style player mech and the airship designs ^^ The music is also quite impressive :o that orchestral tune really gives off an epic vibe, almost star wars like.

My main gripe is that some destructible items are not made all that obvious compared to the rest of the environement, so it took me a while to figure out there were crates to get an ammo refill on the minigun :p

Other than that it’s quite fun to play.

Good job team :)

Extremely fun addicting gameplay, i think i played this for about an hour. I still didn’t manage to beat the last level yet, i think having 4 buttons to push to opening the final door is maybe a bit too much, after you already activated the reinforcement, but else it’s quite good. About the right amount of challenge. The best part is, that you are basically force to engage with the dash mechanic alot, which is alot of fun.

The soundtrack is also amazing, works very well, feels very much like Star Wars, and I think you did a great job capturing that feeling of beeing in a space battle with laser guns. Especially great is the part where you have basically the “grab and run” of the artifact, which really just encapsulates that feeling of beeing chased by a horde of storm troopers and making a clutch escape.

The isometric perspective looks pretty, it’s just a bit unusual that you have to press 2 buttons to run straight and one for diagonal, which makes the controls feel a bit wired. The perspective is a bit problematic at the lower corners, because it hides the elements that are under it. I got quite annoyed a few times, because i didn’t see an enemy that was there and then lost a heart becaues of it. Additionally, a bit better player hit feedback would be nice, i often don’t even realize that i got hit, i really would like some sound feedback there. (Especially when there are alot of chaotic battles etc)

I found it also a bit odd, that i could not shoot over tables, or chairs, which is correct based on the scaling, but intuitively doesn’t make sense. A cool idea would be, to be able to be able to destroy chairs when they are in the way. Another cool idea might be, the ability to dash over tables (aka Enter the Gungeon) which would then give more ways for traversal (and probably really cool plays as well), so it doesn’t feel like these elements are just in your way.

Thematically i dunno what this has to do with Mars, especially since it feels like we’re in some spaceship interior and fighting there. Maybe some generalized space battle name would be more fitting.

But all in all i had a great time playing this one, the gamplay is dope!

the original plan was you were in the Martian valley but a last it was a bit more scope creep than we intended, so instead we went with this level format.
