Really cool, great art & character designs! Very reminiscent of Megaman and classic fighting games & platformers. Can be a bit tough to get a hang of control-wise but it's very neatly done for the amount of time we had in the jam. Good job!
wow
back to the arcade days!
ty for letting us play without coins XD
Interface elements can be polished a little more but rest all art is top notch.
music is on point and the nostalgia is authentic.
Really enjoyed it
Unique take on the concept for a mech related game
Loved liked the pixel art style and character/mech desigs as well as the animations they had.
The audio/music reminds me of classic sonic games
It might just be the fact that I came back from EVO, but man I was itching for a fighting game! It was a little tricky to get the hang of, but this is easily my favorite entry that I've gotten the chance to play thus far. The aerial attack was a bit finicky due to how you can't move when throwing it out but can while it's active, but other than that the game was great. The art and music were both stellar, and I loved the designs of both the pilots and the mechs. It reminded me of SNK Vs. Capcom on the NeoGeo Pocket! If I had to throw a small criticism, the block does feel a bit on the strong side and can turn some moments into games of chicken with who is plus or minus on block, but that is very much a nitpick. I'd love if this got a 2 player mode at some point! 5 stars all around!
If I end up finding the time, I might even take a shot at doing some fanart of this! Let me know if that's cool with you and I'd be happy to share it!
I'm not huge on fighting games but this one was fun! Cute character designs and the retro aesthetic was nailed. I like the presentation too with the music stings and animations.
Dope fighting game thats like Megaman Xtreme mixed with Smash Bros !
The spritework and music are incredible, this has a very authentic GB color feel to it and i like the attention to detail on display here. The character designs are also quite rad by my book and i like the fact that you have quite a lot to choose from for a jam game :O
I picked Dragoon cause she looked the coolest with her shades B)
managed to win 2 rounds and the 3rd one absolutely destroyed me every time so i couldn’t beat it till the end. But this doesn’t detract from the overall quality of the game.
Very solid entry especially for a solo one, well done ^^
Cool little fighting game, looks very nice and the AI is very well implemented. While the first stage enemies where always quite easy to beat, i struggled quite a bit on the last stage. Except when playing Jackal, this character seems a bit too strong, there i beat stage 3 without even a scratch, while i almost went nuts while fighting her with Dragon in stage 3.
And btw, the start and end screen are a very nice touch with the single sound effect, fits greatly.
I only have a little bit of an issue with the controls, since they don’t feel very tight. One reason for that is, that the attack input, is always registered before the direction input. When i try to press Left + Attack or Right + Attack as well as Up + Attack on the same time, it often just registers the attack and executes it. Which leads to the problem, that i often attack in the wrong direction or are not able to use my special in the right moment. Which i then need to compensate for by always pressing one button before the other, which is quite annoying.
Simple to learn and a fun game.
So fun, the enemies are actually good. I suck at these games, and still had fun. The music goes hard, soooooooooooo goooood! fits perfectly with the retro pixel art style. love it, I love it. such a cute game. snap scenes for the opponents was perfect. sound design was great. Great Job!!
Neat little fighter game. Really tough though. The bot would block and instantly hit back and easily get damage on me. It would easily dodge the majority of my attacks as well. Maybe adding a time variance to it deciding some moves so sometimes it blocks well and sometimes it blocks slow. I only beat the first enemy and I think that was mainly a fluke, then again, I'm not great at fighting games.
everything was pretty well done, outstanding
I am a really big fan of GBC graphics
Great sprite work and audio! The only thing I could ask for is a more expanded set of moves but otherwise I thought it was pretty fun.
This is amazing, especially considering it's a solo game! The pixel art is great, everything is colorful and pretty, the animations are nice as well. The fighting could be better with more attacks or at least combos visually (like a 1, 2, 3 attack), but besides that you really got something great here!
This game is solo developed ?!! It is great. AI is great but needs improving.
Really fantastic!
feels and looks great
Anime Tidde
anime girls? charming music? super fun and simple controls? yeah. this is a cool-ass game :)) (first clear w/ dragoon !)
The Designs are real cute and cool, and the way the different characters play is real solid for how simple they are. First clear was with Anubis, and she played real neat relative to the others
Really solid entry - the aesthetics are absolutely on point and the mech designs are sweet. Great UI and such too - overall the vibe is well executed. Mechanics are fairly simple overall but they work for that "pocket arena" vibe here. Felt pretty fun to play, great work!
