Very fun game! Only criticisms I have is I wish the aiming aimed at the mouse instead of snapping between 45 degree segments and that the bosses were a bit harder than that. Other than that it's great! I love the music and sound check you put in, the SFX fit in fantastically, and the story was fun! Good work!

Cool sounds! Why not upload some more screenshots? This is a good jam submission.

Ayo that was fun. The loading time was a lot though (by that, i mean a lot). Also I seem to have noticed a bug. The player shoots even when he's dead. In stage 3, the birds also fly to the opposite direction than where they should be flying. Overall, it was great. The music was a bit loud imo, it jumped the shit out of me the moment it loaded and started playing.

The elevator-style music of the first stage was a bit strange in comparison to the title and intro rocky sounds, but otherwise the music was top notch and the DJ screen that allowed for all of them to be heard was a very welcome addition!

At some points it felt like there were shots coming at the player from nowhere. Especially in stage 2 where the enemies had this spread out shots that lookd definitely different from the frist stage ones.

When scrolling I could see the seams between the tiles...

Real fun shooter with a cool premise ^^

Though i gotta say the music absolutely steals the show here, you sure didn't include a sound test for nothing these tracks are killer, title and boss themes in particular for me :p

Spritework is also really nice, i like your various mech designs, including the little sound test animation where one's Dj - ing the tunes XD and i thought the sudden fleeing birds to indicate the boss approaching was a rad detail !

The only negative i'd say is that the pre made assets you chose for the backgrounds and explosions while looking good don't fit all that well with your own sprites, so if you continue this post jam you should totally make some of your tiles and effects to have everything be a bit more cohesive together.

Other than that i didn't have any particular issues here, and still what i said is more nitpicking than anything.

Cool game and it was really fun to play, well done to you both :)

Great music and SFX choices! The enemies were fun, although the levels felt for too open for the amount of things to do. The details, like the warning for the boss, are what made it good.

Very fun to play! The music is so good.

Fun overall! The only issue I have is that I'd like to just hold a mouse button, so it would shoot infinitely.

Lovely game, lots of fun to play. The music is fantastic and the sound test is a lovely touch.

Fun game! I'm not good at these types of shooting games, but I enjoyed it anyway. It reminded me of the mini arcade game inside Stardew Valley. The pixel graphics and retro sound was fun too.

Yo! This game is like a hidden gem here! Man the music, the presentation, style, it oozes fun! I was completely taken by the moment when the birds came in signaling the boss was near, man what a touch! Only thing I wish for was that the bosses were a bit more difficult, and the movement was a bit more fluid, sometimes it felt a bit janky, but other than that the game was gold!

Really tight controls! I've had trouble with some of these KB-move, Mouse-fire entries but this one is solid in terms of playability. I love the shadows of birds fleeing the bosses, that's a really great touch.

very fun!
