A very entertaining game with a nice use of theme! The graphics were nice and the Carrion inspiration was obvious. My main criticism is one you've heard before, it's way too dark. I can't see where I'm going, making the game much harder than it needs to be. Overall, very well done!

I really liked the movement of the player.

I think that in terms of level design there should be a bit more room to shoot your character and get the required momentum.
Very fun, nice one. :)

I love me a nice relaxing mouse only game :) so relaxing. I loved the feeling of it, very smooth. Bit too dark but quite fun regardless. Wonderful job!

Really cool game, I have seen a game very similar to this but this is still really good! My one improvement would be to make the game just a tiny bit lighter because I struggled to travel across the map. Still really cool!

Lot of Carrion-vibe in this game. Moving was smooth and blob animations looks good. Sometimes it was almost impossible to detect walls. Adding lightning around player character could help. In general, a dark environment looks exciting. Nice work!

Loved the idea and concept, but there were some glaring issues that stopped me from completely enjoying the game. The level was way too dark where I couldn't see where the walls were, and even when I could they would be too far away to reach or I would try to grapple onto them but if I didn't directly click on them then I wouldn't be able to. I definitely think with this type of game you shouldn't have a limit on how far you can reach, or at least increase your range when you gain biomass. And make the player less heavy too. But the graphics on the player were amazing and the enemies were interesting. Just more visuals and better control would've been great.

One of these days, I'm gonna remember to play my game in a well lit room before submitting.

it's best to always have the brightness of the background as far from the brightness of the level as possible

I really enjoyed everything about this game except for how hard it is to navigate around the map. I had my brightness turned up to max but it was still like just clicking in the dark hoping there was a wall there. Maybe that's what you were going for idk, but guesswork isn't really a fun game mechanic just in my opinion. I wish the walls contrasted just a little more against the background and/or the flashlight-esque lighting around the biomass was a little bigger and brighter. I'm a big fan of the rest of the graphical style though.

Nah, the brightness wasn't intentional, just playtesting late in a dark room.

Next Jam, brightness slider.

I couldn't get used to the mouse only controls, would be nice to have an alternative (maybe 2 keys in keyboard). Despite that it looks really cool in it's dark vibe. Perhaps add a story as well in a future update. Overall great work

Really good game. Controls feel really smooth. I think it would be cool if you had a weapon that used up a biomass, the green snipers were really hard to get past.

Developer

Thanks.

I wanted to add the ability to "spit" biomass at enemies, but there wasn't time, and I didn't want to complicate the design too much. Ah well, maybe if I update it later I can add it in. Any other constructive criticism?

Maybe just a quick explanation of controls and gameplay. Its in the description under the game but lazy people like me don't read that at first and get confused
