Fun little game, art is impressive :)))
Very cute dog )
Good job friend.
Nice looking game! Really love the presentation. I agree with some others that it could maybe use some tasks to do - maybe fetch supplies, or help stranded colonizers. Cool foundation though!
The art here is nice. The foundation for an interesting game is here, but I’d have loved to see a little more to keep me playing. Maybe a timer, a score/count of water pools found, something to give a sense of progress.
Puppppers!!! The pixel sprite character is so cute. Great idea. Fun mechanics. Good music. Great work!
Great game! it would be nice if there were different objectives or tasks in the game.
Love the sprite for Speedy - so cute! Especially the drinking animation :)
The core loop of avoiding asteroids is strong - the shadow to indicate an incoming rock gives just enough time to respond, leading to some fun close calls.
There were a few spots where sub-pixels were visible, particularly with the health bar, but it's pretty clear that the game is designed really well around the 64px limit so it's not too much of an issue :)
You made a great start on this game. Controls are tight, it looks nice and I love the use of shadows to telegraph where the asteroid will hit. By the way, do put the controls in the description, as it took me a bit of faffing to figure them out (I'm not familiar with PICO)
I just wish the game would have a goal. Add some collectibles across the map that spawn in random places, and you need to balance getting them with going for the pond to have a drink. Then slap a score that increases the longer you survive, with some kind of multiplier for how many collectibles you get.
Its a simple but fun little game but it seems like there's not really a reason to explore because as far as I can tell there's not downside to just staying at the same water spot the whole time. Maybe the water at each spot should get depleted and disappear after you have used it too much so you would have to find new ones? Also I think just showing the time survived at the end would be nice.
