the twist is very refreshing to the tetris formula, it just lacks difficulty curve. nice music, good game!

Did you work in a team?
No, the game was made completely by me. It was fun! :D
Was the resolution a challenge?
I struggled a lot with coming up with a game idea that works well on such a low resolution. In the end, I decided to go with a grid-based approach for simplicity, as it's easier to work in that kind of game space for me. I figured a puzzle game was the way to go, and things slowly fell into place from there (pun intended---Dug Pug takes heavy inspiration from Tetris!)
What did you learn?
Dug Pug is my second game I've made in Godot, and the second game jam game I've made with Godot. Although I have a lot of programming experience, using a new program is always a challenge! I learned a lot about getting sprites from a sprite sheet, creating game music, dynamically creating objects, and so much more from this jam. I even found a way to sync up the music with the gameplay, which I pulled together at the last minute! I think that this experiment will put me in a good place for future game jams, as I've learned a lot more about how Godot operates. Next time, I'll be even faster and more skilled when I start!
