A very relaxing evening indeed! Well done

Nice game :) The movement is a little wonky on PC, but overall not bad.

Fun little game, cute art - I strangely like the death by falling into the pond the most! I found the bugs a little hard to see, and I found that the easiest way to play was just to spam-click, which I'm not sure is the intended way to play! Played on PC.

Developer(+1)

haha It is a fun little animation and don’t worry, spam tapping is how I play it too! Thanks for stopping by and I’m glad you enjoyed it

Funny little game with cute art and good music. I like the idea. simple concept but fun. I played on pc and it ran fine

Developer

I’m glad to hear it worked well for you, some people have had issues with the movement so I intend on letting people move in a variety of ways in a future installment. Thank you for the pleasant comment and for taking the time to play my game!

A great game concept with the theme of connection.  Are you able to win or is it endless and you try to beat your high score? I was able to get 6 sticks and for some reason the screen turned all red for me after getting hit by the dog - however - but still had health - so may want to look into that to see if that's working as intended.  The trackpad worked for me on my laptop.

Developer

Wow that’s the first I’ve heard of that happening but I will definitely look into it! The goal is 15 sticks, it was originally 25 but the fun of it substantially drops after a certain point so I lowered the threshold. Thank you for your feed back and I’m glad you stopped by!

Congrats on submitting! I feel like the movement should be 'WASD' controlled or at least when you click somewhere they run to the mouse position, rather than a set distance towards that direction if that makes sense.

Developer

Thank you! I made the game and tested it out on my phone but I should have definitely done some testing on a computer before submitting!

Submitted(+1)

If you work a little more on the movement, you'll get a nice game! Overall, it's nice and unique idea! Loved it!

Developer

I appreciate the feedback and that you took the time out to play it! When playing myself I don’t see any issue with the movement but I do keep hearing that. Is there anything in particular about the movement that doesn’t work?

Submitted(+1)

It's an okay idea, but the movement for me is a bit too jarring.

Developer

I’m sorry to hear you didn’t like the movement and that is something I will look to address in the future. Thank you for stopping by and taking the time to play!

Very good idea! I like this game. Well done

Developer

Thank you! I’m glad you enjoyed it!

Nice work, game is pure chaos, I love it.

Developer

The outside world is very chaotic! That’s why I stay inside and make games haha. Glad you enjoyed it!

Game was pretty fun and challenging at times! Mainly mindblown by how it could be played on my mobile phone. What game engine are you using and what are your build settings?~

Developer (1 edit) (+1)

I use Construct 3, I actually made somewhat of a DevLog on this (the quality is beyond poor) I don’t even really know what build settings means haha but I used the free version of Construct and use it mostly on my phone. I don’t have a lot of time unfortunately so this whole game (aside from the music) was made during my breaks at work

Submitted(+1)

wow havent heard of it! i'll definitely look into it, thanks!

Submitted(+1)

Hahaha oh man - "mobile gamers are pure gamers" I read that and laughed and thought surely you must be trolling us. Then a spider spawned in the camp fire right as I was placing my 10th log and I got killed and I knew for sure!

Thanks for this I had fun!

Developer

Haha I should have made the fire destroy the bugs to avoid that, thank you for pointing that out! Also you can always go to Mrs Games (The lady by the fire) to replenish your health! I’m glad you had fun and always remember mobile is the only true way to enjoy a game!

I had some minutes of fun with this game, although i did't get where it fits the theme.

The off guitare sounds pretty unique, but in a weird it machtches the overall estatics!

Nice little entry overall!

Developer

The theme is implemented in a very selfish way. Sitting by the fire is a way my wife and I bond so collecting sticks to keep the fire going is about connecting with her. Also I could have told people that going near Mrs Games replenishes your health as my way to try and sneak in the connection theme. And Rekindle is another way to say reconnecting. Thank you for playing the game and I hope you enjoyed it, I appreciate your feedback!

It's hilarious when the lawnmowers slam into you. Fun game!

Developer

Thank you and I’m glad you had fun!

I made my wife happy, a lesson well learnt for real life lol Jokes aside, its a nice little game. I like the different enemy types.

I think you need some sort of menu as the music is pretty loud (also was the out of tuned guitar intentional? haha. If so it kind of fits in a strange way lol)

Developer

I would like to have added more but because it was the free version of construct I only had 40 events haha. I’m really glad you enjoyed the game, the guitar tuning was a bit of a happy accident. I noticed after recording that it sounded off but I thought it kind of matched. It was originally going to play only if you died but again, low event count made it the main theme for all menus

I got a bunch of sticks then tried the water. good job!

Developer(+1)

Thank you and I’m glad you enjoyed it! That pond is very enticing, I know. Haha

(+1)

I'd probably be screaming swinging sticks around to smash them bugs if I was there. lol

Developer

You know a way to kill the ticks would have been smart and would have added to the gameplay. Thank you for the idea and I may implement something like that in future installments!

Submitted(+1)

Cute idea and well executed :)

Developer

Thank you, I’m very glad you enjoyed it!

Submitted(+1)

Can confirm, it does work on desktop!

I think the art for the game is really cute, I like the style and the choice to not really have a whole lot of animations - gives it a certain feel, I can't find the words for it, but it works really well! Kind of a terrifying lawn - giant bugs, sentient lawn mowers, and magically appearing sticks would be more than enough to keep me away.

Good job!

Developer(+1)

That’s wonderful to hear! Also yes my backyard is terrifying, hence why I stay inside and make video games haha

Submitted(+1)

The tears at the end are the best, good job!

Developer(+1)

Thank you! It was a last minute idea to have a win/lose type ending menu and I am happy with the results. Your game was exceptional by the way and I thoroughly enjoyed the art style and mechanics!

thank you too!
