Really challenging game! I included it in my LibGDX Jam compilation video series, if you would like to take a look :)
good thinking game where i have to think if i should use some more fuel or not.
Thanks for all the comments guys !
@Radnap Well, sorry, but I didn't have time to talk about Box2DLights in my devlog ! The Box2DLights implementation was done only a few hours before the jam deadline, and after finishing my game, I just submitted it.... and slept ! haha
@CiderPunk and @mmachida Hahaha ! Yeah the game the difficulty of my game is definitely not balanced. I lacked time to test and balance the game. The level 6 is frustrating, but it's nothing compared to the level 7 hahaha ! Actually, I am stuck to this level. If you are pissed and want to try levels 7 and 8, just open the Cosmonaut.Data file with the notepad and change the level to "8" ! The Cosmonaut.Data file is located at C:\Users\username\.prefs.
Level 6 is almost impossible, frustrating.
I like the idea, nice use of box2d and excelent dev log.
In the level 2 or 3 I was out of fuel, but I managed the character to "kick" on walls to reach the end, and I got, haha.
Switch puzzles with limited fuel? you are a sick twisted individual! cool game!
Nice game with a pretty good use of the the physic and the lights. The cosmonaut is not easy to control but the level are not hard and well designed.
The devlog is really complete ! Sure i'll be using it when starting with box2dlight !
I like how you used the zero-gravity so that the cosmonaut could be facing in any direction. Good levels too ... even if I keep seeing the word "Crushed" a little too often for my liking!
Also, what an excellent, comprehensive dev log. I'm impressed.
Cool game - and nice work on your dev log! I used tiled with box2dlights as well - your code is much cleaner ;) The interpolate functions on the camera and in the math library are something I'll need to look at for my next project. I did a lot of hackery (and still have a few bugs) around smooth movement of the camera after the ground shakes.
