fun little idler! the color and music transitioning is a really nice touch, leaves a nice little message to think about a moment before paving over nature
The slowing down of the music and gradual grayscaling made this feel like a social commentary on the destruction of nature in favor of skyscrapers lol
As others have stated, adding some sort of numeric indicators on how much different buildings provide or if adjacent tiles benefit it in any way would be very useful!
I agree with other comments suggestions. Overall it was really fun little game. I loved the random island generation. great job.
I like procedural generation of island.
Also music in the end was a bit uncanny.
Very polished animations and placement! Placing in the structures felt great and I enjoyed the progression. I struggled to see exactly how much money I had and needed because it was hard to tell how many zeros were on the end of my money and on the end of the buildings price. Maybe adding in commas separating out the number places would help :)
Also I filled my whole island with skyscrapers!
Great fun :)
That's a good point with the comma separated numbers, easy to implement yet it could give much more into readability. I'll keep it in mind on my next game. Thanks for playing!
Pleasing placement animation! That drove me to fill the blocks with skyscrapers. But it seems nothing happened when I finish the game.
Thanks! Yeah it has no ending, didn't have much time left to finish gameplay, I over-scoped my idea, again.
I really like the game. Was it intentional that the music got pitched down the further you progressed into the high-rise buildings?
One thing That I would have liked is some more requirements around where you can put stuff. Like the Stone worker at a mountains or so. but with the second stage it became clear why you did not go for that.
Thanks! Yes it's intentional, it also changes colours, as an ending of the journey. I had similar ideas to make it more of a strategic game, but I played too long with hexagonal map, and didn't spend too much time on actual gameplay, unfortunately.
Nice work. The placement feels really good and the visuals are well implemented. I would've liked to see some indication of how much money you earn for each building. At first I assumed different buildings would have adjacency bonuses but as I continued to play that didn't seem to be the case.
Thanks, I had some more ideas to make it more of a strategic game, but with the time limit I had to drop off some of the ideas. Nice one with the adjacent buildings, I'll keep it in mind when I'll revisit the idea. Nevertheless I'm happy with my hexagonal tilemap, I gave too much thought to it apparently.
A nice little idler.
It's a nice simple incremental game. I really like what your take on the theme was when you progress much further into the game.
Thanks for playing my game, I'm glad you liked the "ending".
